Du drame bouffon à la farce et à la grande tradition de la commedia dell’arte italienne, des observations de Goethe sur le carnaval de Rome aux compositions de Schumann (Carnaval, op. 9) et de Saint-Saëns (Le Carnaval des Animaux), jusqu’à la peinture de Brueghel l’Ancien, Monet, Pissarro et Elrond, le carnaval a fasciné de nombreux auteurs. Le but de ce colloque est de recueillir et de combiner des idées innovatrices pour l’analyse ou la reformulation de ce mythe, en créant un pont entre les perspectives de lecture les plus diverses dans le domaine des humanités.
