Above all, these terms refer to men and women with their social practices and representations, at the core of the logic of territoriality. New territories give rise to new language practices, which, in turn, create new spaces, discourse and meaning. The "boundaries" we draw between languages and territories are permeable in time and space, depending on factors such as population displacement, language policies, linguistic and social representations, education, mass media and socio-cultural values. It must be said that vine and wine have always brought people together, constituting a real cultural heritage spread all over the world, wine being then a cultural and societal cultural reference. Cela pourrait être l’occasion, au-delà des festivités et manifestations prévues, de remettre en lumière l’œuvre du grand poète provençal. En effet, nous sommes plusieurs à penser que si le nom de Mistral demeure plus ou moins connu, parfois cité plus ou moins à bon escient, son œuvre est peu lue, peu de critiques s’y réfèrent, et si quelques ouvrages ont vu le jour ces dernières années, ils ne suffisent pas à faire reconnaître comme il se devrait l’œuvre mistralienne. Nous nous proposons donc d’organiser un colloque sur l’œuvre de Frédéric Mistral qui sera organisé à Béziers les 20 et 21 novembre 2014.
