Assemblée générale 2017 du programme de recherche « Bibliothèques virtuelles humanistes »
L’année 2017 aura été particulièrement marquée par la mise en œuvre de la campagne de numérisation à la m édiathèque Louis-Aragon du Mans dans le cadre du projet partenarial « Bibliothèques humanistes ligériennes » ainsi que par l’école d’été Bibliotheca Digitalis qui nous a permis de réunir 20 stagiaires internationaux et une vingtaine d’intervenants, tant chercheurs en science shumaines et sociales ou informatique que bibliothécaires et archivistes.

DARIAH Day is a one day workshop intended to introduce the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH) to the linguistic community in Zurich. The workshop will focus on the #dariahTeach platform, which was created through the funding of an ERASMUS+ strategic partnership to test modules for open-source, high-quality, multilingual teaching materials for the digital arts and humanities.

Atelier de modélisation de données avec nodegoat
Nodegoar est un environnement web qui permet la gestion, l'analyse et la visualisation de données, développé par Pim van Bree et Geert Kessels (LAB1100). Une base de données bien réfléchie offre aux projets d'histoire numérique la possibilité d'analyses variées, de visualisations et d'interconnexion. Toute base de données historiques nécessite une compréhension approfondie des modèles conceptuel et logique des données. De même, le développement d'une interface adaptée est aussi une question importante. L'atelier aborde trois phases distinctes dans la modélisation des données: l'élaboration du modèle conceptuel, la conception du modèle logique de données et l'utilisation d'une application de base de données.

Initiation aux humanités numériques
Cette journée a pour but de présenter les différents aspects des humanités numériques (normes, compétences, enjeux, projets, acteurs). Elle s’adresse gratuitement et sans pré-requis à un public de doctorant.e.s, d’étudiant.e.s en master ou de L3, ainsi qu’à des chercheurs et des chercheuses en sciences humaines, lettres et langues. Une session de workshops (sur inscription) aura lieu le matin pour inviter les participants à se former et à manipuler quelques outils des humanités numériques. La première partie de l’après-midi proposera deux conférences sur les humanités numériques, leurs standards et leurs enjeux. Enfin, la deuxième partie de l’après-midi présentera différents projets qui appliquent les outils et les méthodes qui auront été abordés le matin et en début d’après-midi.

Software Sustainability: Quality and Re-usability
Sustainability of software and services is one of the core technological challenges research infrastructures – not only in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences – are facing. This workshop's purpose is to discuss whether it is possible to combine existing approaches into a set of guides and handbooks to enable developers to ensure software quality from the start and collaboratively with infrastructure providers create a service that is than usable by end users.The workshop is a joint effort by DARIAH-DE and DARIAH-EU within the DESIR project.

Enquête sur la communication scientifique ouverte
Le consortium OPERAS (Open access in the European research area through scholarly communication) lance une enquête sur les usages de l'open access, en particulier dans le domaine des sciences humaines et sociales. L'enquête a pour but d'identifier les pratiques actuelles et les services qu'il faudrait développer ou inventer. Elle servira de base à la définition de la future infrastructure OPERAS. L'enquête est adressée à cinq publics différents, tous acteurs, à des titres divers, de l'open access : les éditeurs, les chercheurs, les bibliothèques, les organismes financeurs et le grand public.

DARIAH-EU workshop in connection to the 2nd Digital Humanities in Nordic countries (DHN) Conference

The aim of this proposed workshop at DHN 2017 is to bring together scholars, educators and others interested in different aspects of Digital Humanities education to explore the current potential and challenges and opportunities related to the teaching and learning of Digital Humanities.

DARIAH-EU is calling for applications for one vacant "Virtual Competence Centre" head position: VCC3 - Scholarly Content Management. The main task of a VCC head is to work closely with DARIAH Working Groups. Together with DARIAH’s Chief Integration Officer all VCC heads form the Joint Research Committee (JRC), one of the operational organs in the DARIAH governance.

Introducing THEMAS, a tool for multilingual thesaurus building
The topic of the workshop will be "Building Multilingual Theasauri" and will focus on the presentation of the greek web tool THEMAS (Thesaurus Management System), which was developed within the framework of DARIAH-Gr project. The workshop is intended for the humanistic scientific community and for GLAM institutions (archives, libraries, museums) to wich theasauri are necessary not only for the organization of knowledge and information in general but are also an important factor in ensuring the sustainability of e-infrastructures.
