  Summer Course for the Study of the Arts in Flanders

  Annually, the Summer Course brings a select group of 18 national and international, highly qualified young researchers to Flanders. They are offered an intensive 11-day programme of lectures, discussions, and visits related to a specific art historical period of Flemish art. The Summer Course provides the participants with a clear insight into the Flemish art collections from the period at hand, as well as into the current state of research on the topic.The 5th edition of the Summer Course will focus on ‘The Age of Bruegel in Context’. It will be held from June 23 until July 3, 2019. Excursions will be made to Antwerp, Bruges, Genk, Leuven, Mechelen and Brussels. We are also planning a trip to Paris. The language of the Summer Course is English.

  International summer seminar in museology - Ecole du Louvre

  Ce séminaire s’adresse à des étudiants avancés et à de jeunes professionnels de nationalité étrangère. Il fournit un complément de formation à un cursus d’histoire de l’art, de muséologie ou de médiation. Pour sa quinzième édition, il s’intéresse à la question de l’accessibilité dans les musées. Il montrera comment les outils et les activités développés par les musées en faveur des publics en situation de handicap, des visiteurs du champ social et des publics éloignés des musées, bénéficient aussi plus largement au grand public.

  The 16th AnnualSpringtime Academy (École de printemps d’histoire de l’art) organized by the International Consortium on Art Historywill take place from June 18–23, 2018, at the Université Paris Nanterre, on the theme “Art and Politics,” reflecting the fiftieth anniversary of the events of May 1968. This weeklong program will bring together students at the masters, doctoral, and post-doctoral levels from various disciplines and specializations to share research, working methods and experience in an international and interdisciplinary dialogue with advanced scholars and professionals.
