Vulnerability in Parenthood: Disability, Processes, and Prevention
Interdisciplinary Perspectives
The fifth edition of this international conference continues an established scientific and clinical tradition dedicated to exploring vulnerabilities in their various forms. Following previous editions that addressed sexuality and intimate relationships in disability, art in the service of disability, and mental health and new technologies, this 5th edition expands the discussion to a fundamental societal issue: parenthood in contexts of vulnerability.

Democracy at University: Voicing Choices
In France, as abroad, questions of democracy span multiple social fields. The University appears as a privileged place for observation and reflection. As a space for academic and civic education, for the transmission of knowledge and collective experimentation, it also constitutes a laboratory for democratic practices.

Given the success of previous editions, both among Master's students and colleagues and professionals, the seminar series will continue, with a new edition to be held on February 4, 2026

By choosing to focus on South-North circulations, this seminar is dedicated to the deconstruction of the “British Empire” as a homogeneous category to write and think about the intellectual, artistic, and political histories of the people who circulate and inhabit this polity known as the Commonwealth of Nations in the post-Bandung era. Working from the assumption that committed artists, intellectuals and political activists from the Global South have networked and connected within this space, we seek to interrogate the counter-hegemonic nature of the knowledge, theories and artistic practices produced during the post-Bandung era.

Sculpture and Trompe l'oeil in European Ceramics, from Bernard Palissy to the Present Day
The conference, dedicated to European ceramics, aims to address issues relating to figurative sculpture in the round, to relief sculpture and to trompe l'oeil, all in the medium of ceramics. This includes the imitation of other materials, such as wood or precious stones, and the mimetic representation of animals and plants. Sculpture and trompe l'oeil are recurring themes but have been little studied in a comprehensive manner in European ceramic art, not even in Art Deco ceramics, which frequently use sculptural forms, both in tableware and in purely decorative pieces.

Conference, symposium - History

Call for papers - Representation
This international conference aims to explore the central role of culture and art in the reconstruction and regeneration of the social fabric, through a reinterpretation of trauma as a driver of creation and preservation of cultural memory and as a form of resistance to the politics of erasure. We encourage papers dealing with the interconnections between trauma, memory and resistance in multiple artistic languages to highlight the role of art in reinterpreting trauma, making it a source of memory and thus a basis for social change. The focus will be on the artistic production, especially during the 21st century, created by Palestinian artists about Palestine, including those in the diaspora.

A Transnational History of Spanish Humanitarianism in a Global Context from the First World War to the 1920s
Building on the dynamic initiated during a workshop held in 2024 on the humanitarian institution created in 1915 by Alfonso XIII–the European War Office–, this conference seeks to gather separate initiatives and to bring together specialists to address historiographical gaps concerning Spanish actions during the war. The conference will examine these actions from a global perspective in the context of the 1920s by comparing them with the actions of other institutions and neutral countries, such as Sweden, Denmark, the Vatican and the ICRC.

Peripheral Archives in Africa and Eurasia (19th-20th century)
On 10 October 2025, we will bring together historians from Eurasia and Africa (19th and 20th centuries) to reflect on the concept of peripheral archives and how the production/preservation/use of archives located on the periphery or margins (geographical, political, global or national, family archives, village archives, non-state institutions, the Global South, etc.) informs the writing of history.

Understanding and reconverting tertiary vacancy
The vacancy of tertiary buildings is a growing issue in urban and regional dynamics. While vacant offices are a visible symptom of economic, social and environmental mutations, they also represent an opportunity to rethink the role of business districts and the uses of the city as a whole. The aim is to analyse tertiary vacancy in France and Europe for identifying the potential for converting unoccupied buildings, whether into housing or other functions: coliving, hotels, industrial or commercial activities, data centres, living labs, collaborative spaces, etc.

Questioning the formal and the informal through night work in the Americas and the Caribbean
