Colloque franco-allemand de jeunes chercheurs sur Louis XIV
Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz
Le 28 avril 2026, dans le cadre du colloque franco-allemand des jeunes chercheurs sur l’époque de Louis XIV, huit intervenant·e·s issus des espaces germanophone et francophone mettront en lumière des aspects centraux de cette période sous différentes perspectives. L’accent sera mis sur des thèmes tels que la communication à la cour, la corporalité, les relations extérieures et la conduite de la guerre, offrant ainsi un aperçu riche et nuancé des dynamiques politiques, sociales et culturelles de l’époque. Le colloque est complété par une conférence de Sven Externbrink (Hagen), qui examine la cour de Louis XIV comme un nœud des « relations internationales » (env. 1643–1715).

L'événement se tient du 20 au 22 mai à l'Université Paris 8 à Saint-Denis.

Arpenter, c’est-à-dire explorer l’espace physique de la ville et son lien aux arts, mais aussi découvrir l’espace mythique que la création artistique y a construit.

This international online conference explores the complex interrelations between truth, fake and falsified information, and knowledge authority in the context of digital transformation processes. In light of increasing disinformation, AI-generated content, and algorithmic bias, museums face the challenge of rethinking their role as trusted spaces for knowledge dissemination. At the same time, digital technologies open up new possibilities for participation, contextualization, and translation. At the heart of the conference is the question of how museums can assume digital responsibility and actively contribute to fostering an open and reflective information culture.

What are the dynamics and vulnerabilities?
In L’économie du XXe siècle (The Economy of the 20th Century), François Perroux stated that “we do not have a comprehensive, coherent and usable theory of what I propose to call the ’domination effect’” Why talk about relations of domination when we are dealing with the circulation of knowledge, imaginaries, and skills in relation to linguistic diversity? When there is circulation, movement, transfer, there are differences in level, which means that knowledge, imaginations and skills do not emerge everywhere at the same time and in the same way, giving rise to differences, imbalances and potential conflicts.

Principles, Practices, and Challenges in a Globalized World
This conference aims to explore democracy in the university as a principle, a value, and a practice, both in France and internationally. It is structured around two parts – national and then comparative – and two thematic axes: on the one hand, the exercise of democracy within institutional structures (governance, elections, widened access, reforms); on the other hand, non-institutional forms (student mobilizations, participatory democracy, academic freedoms). The goal is to analyze the issues, actors, and democratic dynamics in a globalized university context.

While the philosophical reception of German Idealism and Early Romanticism has been the subject of a number of studies, research so far has given little attention to the question of its knowledge and use by artists. The aim of the conference is to open up a space for interdisciplinary dialogue, informed by case studies, on the role that the discovery of Classical German Philosophy has played in European and American visual arts, from the early nineteenth century to the present day.

Selon le juriste romain Paul, les femmes ne peuvent exercer de charges publiques, non à cause de leur manque de jugement mais selon le mos maiorum. Cet écartement du pouvoir ne date pas de la période romaine et est encore visible aujourd’hui. Cependant, cela n’a pas empêché aux femmes d’exercer une autorité dans différentes sphères, accompagnées d’un homme ou seule. L’histoire des femmes et du genre ont justement permis de mettre en lumière cette agency féminine et il est nécessaire de poursuivre les recherches pour dégager toute la teneur de la capacité d’action de ces femmes au sein de différentes configurations sociales, politiques et religieuses. Dans ce contexte, ce colloque se consacrera aux autorités féminines dans l’Europe latine durant l’Antiquité tardive et le haut Moyen Âge. Il vise à faire dialoguer des chercheurs des espaces francophones et germanophones ainsi que des sous-disciplines de l’histoire ancienne et médiévale.
