Morice Awwad Chair invites scholars and researchers to explore the work of Morice Awwad (1934–2018), a major figure in contemporary Lebanese poetry. Awwad forged a distinctly Lebanese aesthetic by articulating cultural heritage with the challenges of modernity—marked by fragmentation, war, exile, and linguistic tension. By asserting the singularity of “Lebanese” as a language of poetic creation, he developed a mode of being and expression situated between strong local belonging and openness to the universal.

Cet appel invite artistes, musiciens, vidéastes, plasticiens, performeurs, designers et créateurs de tous horizons à proposer des œuvres explorant les interactions entre le son, la musique et les arts visuels, à travers le thème du rythme et de ses métamorphoses. L’objectif est d’encourager la création de formes artistiques où le dialogue entre le sonore et le visuel révèle de nouvelles perceptions du rythme comme pulsation, comme mouvement, comme transformation sensible du temps et de l’espace.

Temporary Migration (20th –21st Centuries): Spaces, Regulation, and Imaginaries
Recent migration research has recently adopted intersectional approaches by disputing age categories, Gender, and class, which have long been pivotal to the study of migrant populations. Despite being the focus of sustained scholarly inquiry, these domains continue to exhibit notable limitations particularly in areas where migrants navigate conditions of “illegality” and where state authorities frequently respond with various forms of repression, including violence, detention, stop-and-search practices, and police surveillance. This symposium will thus serve as a platform for scholars and practitioners to exchange methodological insights into short-range mobility and to explore innovative approaches to researching migration contexts. Furthermore, it will provide a critical space to examine how funding agencies shape, influence, and/or potentially limit migration research agendas.

Le très grand développement d’internet a augmenté le nombre de ses utilisateurs dans le monde oriental et méditerranéen au cours de ces dernières années, et doit à nos yeux s’accompagner de recherches approfondies dans les domaines de la traduction, du patrimoine, des pratiques pédagogiques et scientifiques et des humanités numériques. Cela implique à la fois des recherches techniques en informatique et en sciences de l’information appliquées aux langues et aux cultures et à leur enseignement-apprentissage dans les pays arabes, mais également une réflexion analytique et critique sur le patrimoine méditerranéen et oriental, notamment arabe, ses textes et discours et leur appréciation par les récépteurs des différentes langues-cultures. Il s’agit là d’un domaine de recherche relativement nouveau en ce qui concerne les langues et les cultures, et d’un important défi à relever.

Translation and Translators in the Colonial Context
Roles, Functions and Narratives
The chronological reading of colonial contexts allows us to identify the “organic” link between translation and the colonial project, before, during and after the military occupation. Translation has acquired several functions; highlighting the role of the translator between the narratives of the colonizer and that of the colonized. Until 2000, seventy percent of the world's population had a “colonial” past, either as a colonizer or as a colonized. (Etemad, 258), which suggests that more than seventy percent of the world's population have been affected, and perhaps still are, through the prism of translation. The Conference will attempt to understand how translation was put at the service of the colonial project? What translation approaches have been adopted by translators and interpreters? How did translational discourse influence the cultures of the occupier and the occupied?

Therefore, memory of heritage is an interdisciplinary instrument that plays a significant role in shaping a sense of identity and a source of inspiration for creativity and innovation, but it is also can be a reason of exclusion, or even hostage to political conflicts and ideological debates.

L’intégrité scientifique : enjeux et défis
Art, design et plagiat
Définie par l’Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale (INSERM) comme « l’ensemble des règles et valeurs qui doivent régir l’activité de recherche pour en garantir le caractère honnête et scientifiquement rigoureux », l'intégrité scientifique se réfère à l'application rigoureuse et éthique des principes et des normes lors de la conduite responsable de la recherche et implique la présentation intègre et précise des données, la transparence des outils et des méthodes utilisés, la publication des résultats exacts, la crédibilité des sources et l'absence de falsification. Cependant, plusieurs chercheurs et communautés scientifiques violent gravement l’intégrité scientifique et portent atteinte à la confiance collective dans la recherche. Dans le domaine professionnel de l’art et du design, le plagiat peut être particulièrement difficile à identifier car il n’est pas toujours évident de détecter des normes claires et précises pour déterminer ce qui est considéré comme une œuvre originale. Cependant, les lois sur la protection des droits intellectuels et culturels avancent sur la nécessité de respecter les droits des auteurs et des créateurs.

الذاكرة الشعبية في الجنوب الجزائري:الحكم والأمثال الشعبية أنموذجا
La conférence nationale organisée par le Centre universitaire Ali Khafi de Tindouf a pour ambition de faire la lumière sur les arts populaires dans le sud de l’Algérie et d’encourager les étudiants à mener des recherches sur le patrimoine. Cela comprend les recherches sur les sagesses et proverbes de l’Algérie et du sud algérien, le conte populaire, et la poésie populaire. Elle sera suivie par le lancement d’un concours culturel entre étudiants et divers segments de la société civile afin de collecter, de documenter, de traduire et de numériser les proverbes et les sagesses du sud algérien.

Compte tenu de la diversité, de la complexité et de l’hétérogénéité du tourisme et vu les transformations qu’a connues le monde au cours des dernières décennies et la conjoncture par laquelle passent toutes les économies du globe, en fonction de la pandémie du covid-19 et de la relance du secteur au cours de 2022, une relecture de la réalité touristique s’impose. Ce colloque donne l’occasion d’examiner, entre autres, les effets contradictoires du tourisme sur les espaces environnants.

الدينامية المجالية للمدن العتيقة بالمغرب الكبير
Les médinas au Maghreb forment un patrimoine urbanistique et culturel marquant le tissu urbain maghrébin. Certaines médinas ont été classées au patrimoine de l’Organisation des nations unies pour l’éducation, la science et la culture (UNESCO), au Maroc (Rabat, Essaouira, Tétouen, Meknès Fès, Marrakech, El Jadida), en Algérie (Casbah d’Alger), en Tunisie (Tunis, Souss, Kairouan). Mais ce patrimoine des médinas a subi de fortes mutations et a connu une dynamique territoriale accélérée depuis l’indépendance des pays du Maghreb. L’objectif de ce numéro est d’assembler des articles multidisciplinaires dédiés à la dynamique des tissus urbains traditionnels sur le plan démographique, économique, architectural, social etc. et aux expériences d’innovation que connaissent les médinas du Maghreb (gentrification, touristification, innovation urbaine, etc.).
