For the launch of an international digitization and digital edition project, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of sciences and humanities (BBAW) invites applications for the position of a Research Assistant (male/female/divers) in the field of Digital Humanities (Digital Scholarly Editions and Research Software Development).The position is based in Berlin, Germany, but includes regular work assignments and team meetings in Havana. The focus of the project is on cultural and scientific historical sources of the 18th and 19th centuries in the context of Alexander von Humboldt's American journey.

Fabergé Museum in St. Petersburg organizes an International Academic Conference, “Jewellery Art of the 19th and Early 20th Centuries”, to be held September 20-22, 2018 at Fabergé Museum. With one of the largest collections of Russian jewellery art in the world, Fabergé Museum in St. Petersburg considers it its duty to study the topic from all angles and in a broad historical and cultural context. We hope to include in our conference contributions from art historians and critics, museum and archive professionals, collectors, and jewellers.

Objects of Exchange. Art and Economic Encounters
Exchange is classically described by economists as a phenomenon of equalization of values within a given system. When heterogeneous orders of economic rationalities meet, material objects and practices come to embody the paradoxes of dissonant exchange. This symposium aims to explore how artifacts and artistic practices have materialized ruptures within, and encounters between, economic systems in the modern and contemporary period.

Global Art History and the Peripheries
Established in 2009, Artl@s is a project of a Spatial (Digital) history of arts and letters, providing scholars with the tools and support needed in order to expound their narratives and qualitative evidence with spatial representations and quantitative analyses. The Artl@s team organizes an international conference in partnership with the École normale supérieure, the Institut national d'histoire de l'art and the Terra Foundation for American Art, inviting researchers to gather and develop a removed and well-thought out approach to the question of the peripheries in art history.

Dans le cadre des actions du projet « Art nouveau & écologie », le Réseau Art nouveauNetwork organise une série de cinq Laboratoires historiques avec le soutien du programme Culture 2007-2013 de la Commission européenne. Le troisième de ces laboratoires se déroule à Milan, et explore le thème de la « Nature, créativité et production au temps de l'Art nouveau », et se déroulera le samedi 19 novembre 2011 au Palazzo Lombardia à Milan. Cette journée d'étude accessible à tous combine recherches, expériences et savoir-faire à destination des professionnels comme des amateurs d'Art nouveau. -
