  Cette année, la conférence a pour thème « Visual Culture in the Classical World » elle vise principalement les doctorants, qui en tant que participants peuvent présenter les résultats de leurs recherches devant un publique international. Les articles de cet événement peuvent être publiés dans le journal de notre faculté « Studia Hercynia » et qui se trouveront aussi dans la database générale ERIH+.  Nous sommes également très ravis de vous annoncer qu’un de nos principal discutant sera Francois Lissarrague, directeur d’études à l’EHESS émérite.

  7th international conference for the histories of media art, science and technology

  RE: TRACE - the 7^th International conference on the histories of media art, science and technology will be hosted by the department for image science and held at Danube University Krems, Göttweig Abbey and the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna. More than a decade after the first conference founded the field now recognized worldwide as a significant historical inquiry at the intersection of art, science, and technology, media art histories is now firmly established as a dynamic area of study guided by changing media and research priorities, drawing a growing community of scholars, artists and artist-researchers.

  Researchers and practitioners from across disciplines are invited tosubmit abstracts for presentations and posters to be delivered at theVisualisation in Archaeology International Conference at the Universityof Southampton on the 18th to 19th of April 2011. The 2011 Conferencemarks the culmination of the three-year VIA project which has sought toexplore the philosophical and historical dimensions--and futureprospects--of the visualisation of archaeological knowledge.
