  Donner à voir l’histoire sociale des migrations: contenus, scénographies, médiations

  Le Centre d’histoire sociale des mondes contemporains invite des soumissions de la part de post-doctorants, de récents docteurs et de doctorants à un stade avancé de leur recherche, notamment dans les domaines de l’histoire sociale et des études migratoires, surtout pour autant qu’ils croisent ceux de la muséologie et de l’histoire publique. Les participants discuteront notamment comment donner à voir l’expérience quotidienne des migrations du passé dans toutes leurs dimensions sociales.

  « Making mars » : la fabrique sensible des traces

  Arts in the Alps

  L’école de printemps Arts in the Alps 2019 aura lieu du 17 au 22 juin et réunira une communauté dynamique de chercheurs et d’artistes, des sciences humaines et sociales (ou de l’art, de la danse, de la géographie, de l’informatique, de la performance et du son), pour explorer et expérimenter comment le sensoriel devient matériel dans un contexte de recherche basée sur la pratique. Les efforts engagés pour fabriquer des traces invitent à un examen approfondi de la pensée matérielle et incarnée que sous-tend la recherche basée sur la pratique. Au cours de cet événement d’une semaine, notre objectif est de mettre l’accent sur la manière dont les traces matérielles sont créées, à travers et pour la recherche artistique, et peuvent à leur tour être partagées entre les communautés.

  Arrival cities: Migrating artists and new metropolitan topographies

  Focusing on the intersections of exile, artistic practice and urban space, this international conference brings together researchers committed to revising the historiography of ‘modern’ art. Part of the ERC research project Relocating Modernism: Global Metropolises, Modern Art and Exile (METROMOD), it addresses metropolitan areas that were settled by migrant artists in the first half of the 20^th century.

  Le séminaire Les internationalismes au miroir des littératures et des cinémas (Afrique, Asie, Amérique latine) s'est donné pour objectif d'aborder sous un triple angle, historique et philosophique, les diverses formes d'internationalismes qui ont guidé les actions politiques depuis la conférence de Bandung jusqu'à l'effondrement de l'URSS (1955-1991). Et ce, à travers les formes littéraires et cinématographiques qui les ont accompagnées.

  Singapour mon amour : The emergence and vicissitudes of an art scene

  This colloquium proposes a theoretical perspective on the visual art, film, performance and literature modules of the project Singapour mon amour curated by Lowave. Thematic sessions according to these art genres will draw a bigger picture of the artistic creation in Singapore and will inscribe it into an international art discourse. As a young country, Singapore's art history is still the process of being written and the colloquium aims to collect as many direct sources and witnesses as possible.

  Xe colloque annuel international de la Société d'activités et de recherches sur le monde indien (SARI) 2015

  In the postcolonial theoretical framework, the study of heritage and ruptures is a rather familiar paradigm. But it is not a depleted paradigm. Given the millennial history of the Indian subcontinent and the plurality of its culture, the way its languages, literatures and arts appropriate the past, grasp the present and envisage the future remains a relevant object for inquiry. From the crossroads of diachronicity and synchronicity, tradition and modernity, singularity and solidarity, here and elsewhere, repetition and reinvention, the 10^th annual SARI conference to be held on the 28^th and 29^th May 2015 at the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre la Défense and on the 30^th May 2015 at the université Paris 13, Sorbonne Paris Cité, will be devoted to the exploration of this topic from an inter and pluridisciplinary perspective.

  International Conference & International Summer University

  In September 2011, Porto will be the stage for an International Conference & International Summer University under the theme Borders, Displacement and Creation. Questioning the Contemporary. It will be focusing on the encounter between Contemporary Political Philosophy and Aesthetics, with the contribution of several scientific fields within the Social Sciences and the Humanities. The Conference will be held on the 29th, 30th, 31st August, 3rd and 4th September at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, and on the 1st and 2nd September at Serralves Auditorium.
