  Sanierung eines transnationalen europäischen Kulturgutes: das Stadtbad Straßburg (1908/10)

  Perspektiven zur Dokumentierung und zukünftigen Nutzung

  Les bains municipaux de Strasbourg (1908/10) sont un parimoine culturel transnational d'un genre unique au monde. Fleuron de la politique sociale très progressiste de la municipalité alsacienne au temps du Reichsland allemand, ils comprennent deux bassins, des bains-douches, des bains romains, ainsi qu'une aile médicale. Restés quasiment intacts durant leur service ininterrompu depuis plus de cent ans, ils doivent subir une rénovation importante afin de pouvoir continuer à fonctionner. Au moment où la Ville de Strasbourg discute de la meilleure façon pour préparer ce patrimoine pour l'avenir, une perspective franco-allemande a pour objectif d'esquisser des perspectives d'action sur le fonds de rénovations qui ont déjà eu lieu en Allemagne.

  The Face of the Dead and the Early Christian World

  The theme chosen for this meeting is the study of funerary images in the transition between late antiquity and the Middle Ages. The central question will a reflection on the function of the funerary images in a broad sense, but also their impact on the early christian world. The choice of the chronological time also shows the second intention of the colloquium: this is an attempt to explain why the ancient funerary tradition of the image will eventually disappear, replaced by other figures of the representative functions. Through various media - from the mosaic and painting, through sculpture and ending with gilded glasses - there will be presented one of the nodal representation of the self: the human face on the border between life and death.

  Récit de soi, présence au monde : jugements et engagements (XVIe-XXIe siècle)

  La prise d’écriture, le désir de se dire, engendrent un acte dont il faut mesurer, avec leurs limites, la capacité critique comme le pouvoir émancipateur. Nous nous demanderons quelles médiations relient les écrits personnels à leur inscription sociale, à l’histoire collective ou aux événements dont le scripteur a pu être protagoniste ou témoin.
