Doctrines, intentions, publics et pratiques
Le spectacle vivant apparaît depuis quelques années comme le lieu d’une rencontre renouvelée sur scène des sciences et du théâtre. Chercheur∙e∙s et praticien∙ne∙s sont invité·e·s à proposer de courtes interventions et partager lors de cette journée leurs visions et leurs expériences personnelles en vue d’une réflexion sur l’évolution des modes de pensée et d’action dans le champ de la médiation par la culture de la fabrication conjointe des sciences et de la société. À partir d’une sélection des résumés et textes attendus, nous souhaitons mettre en discussion critique les manières de faire, engager le bilan de la diversité des conceptions et des réalisations, le tout en vue de la publication d’un ouvrage collectif à paraître au premier semestre 2021.

This event hopes to further discussions on the role of the State in the implementation of public health policies. We will also look into the responses given to these policies, whether they are judged too interventionist (denouncing dispossession of knowledges described as traditional) or insufficient (demanding for comprehensive and equitable care). We seek to to analyze the changes coming from the "left hand" of the State, in the contemporary neo-liberal framework, its genesis and its historical counter-examples. After a first day of sessions dedicated to scientific presentations, in a multidisciplinary framework open to all social sciences, the symposium also aims to open a space for exchanges with civil society. We would also like to take into account the international circulation of notions – as expressed by the phrase "obstetric violence", which both owes much to Latin American spaces and have had its meaning changed through such circulations.

What paradigms for political science?
Si les phénomènes circulatoires apparaissent comme un objet ancien des sciences sociales, voire comme un objet « implicite » de controverses ou d’œuvres devenues centrales dans l’histoire de ces disciplines, ce n’est que récemment que la notion de circulation y fait l’objet d’une problématisation explicite, particulièrement depuis le champ disciplinaire que constitue l’étude de la circulation des savoirs. Adoptant une conception large de la circulation, entendue comme l’étude des passages entre espaces sociaux et frontières (étatiques, linguistiques notamment), le présent colloque entend prolonger les premiers bilans qui ont été publiés, tout en donnant suite aux appels lancés en faveur d’un décloisonnement de la réflexion sur la problématique circulatoire. Il se veut une proposition de re-problématisation de l’emploi de la notion de circulation dans les sciences sociales.

The family, a subject for investigation
Family, as guarantor of moral values and social control, has long been seen as a pillar of society. Marginal behaviours (such as children born out of wedlock or single mothers) and/or any changes to what was perceived as the norm were often seen as threats. Policy makers and public authorities thus started to order and organize inquiries through surveys to apprehend and understand these behaviours. The aim was to be able to set up adequate policies to fight against what was perceived as possible attacks on family as an institution.

The international conference Reframing the (Art) World/Redéfinir le monde (de l’art) aims at concluding an intense three-year research carried out within the frame of the research programme PRISME, hosted at the Archives de la critique d’art (Archives of Art Criticism in Rennes). By following a multidisciplinary approach, the aim of this conference is to reframe a still little-known chapter of cultural history, in order to reconsider art criticism as a historical and epistemological prism in regard to international issues since the second half of the XXth century.

It has become rather banal to speak of the museum as a place of power. Whether one refers to it as media, as medium, or as device, we must understand that this institution, emblematic of occidental civilization, has always aroused the interests of local political régimes, whatever they may be. The creation of the British Museum and the birth of the Louvre illustrate the many different ways the public has of seeing the links between knowledge and collections. Furthermore the advent of each new political régime (from democracy in America to the Marxist-Leninist system in the Soviet Union, passing by fascist Italy and national-socialist Germany) marks museums with its imprint, as well as its system of communication, preservation and research.

Challenging the Fluidity of Identity and Otherness
Ce colloque se propose d’approfondir l’analyse des processus d’identification mis en tension dans les situations sociales d’hybridité et d’ambivalence. Les constructions identitaires sont au centre des problématiques sociétales contemporaines. De ce fait, on observe que certains remparts s’élèvent face à la fluidité des liens sociaux et intimes, ou encore à l’individualisme accru. L’un d’entre eux consiste, dans certains contextes, à se tourner vers des valeurs plus traditionnelles. Des espaces sociaux proposant des cadres de référence identitaires plus solides et fortement hiérarchisés peuvent alors s’imposer, que ce soit dans l’espace social, au sein de la famille ou du couple. Quels peuvent être ces diverses manifestations, parfois contradictoires, de recherche de structures traditionnelles, et comment s’accommodent-elles, ou pas, aux différentes transformations dans l’espace-temps historique et géographique, institutionnel et politique, social et intime ?

It brings together researchers in accounting, management, history, sociology, law and economics.Like every year all the papers proposed are welcome, however we would like to recommend an axis of reflection. Thus, the Association d’Histoire du Management et des Organisations (AHMO), the Institut de Recherche en Gestion (IRG, Université Paris-Est), and the Université Paris-Est – Marne-La-Vallée, with the support of the Association Francophone de Comptabilité, launch a call for papers on the theme of Innovation.

Medical expertise in the 20th and 21st century / Medizinische Expertise im 20. und 21. Jahrhundert / L'expertise médicale aux XXe et XXIe siècles. Annual conference of the Swiss Society for the History of Medicine and Sciences, September 5 – 7, 2013, Bern, Switzerland. The conference would like to address the issue from various perspectives and ask e.g. the following questions: To which levels of medical knowledge and activity (skill, professional knowledge, experience, relationship with patients) did and does the claim of expertise refer to? Which strategies, rhetorics and kinds of self-fashioning were and are used in order to achieve, retain or reject the status of expertise? Which was and is the relationship between expertise, profession(nalism), institutionalization and specialization? In what respect is there a difference between a physician's claim of expertise and that of other health professionals?

Ce colloque international, qui s’inscrit dans la célébration du cinquantenaire de l’indépendance de l’Algérie, se propose aux fins d’un bilan sur l’insertion des langues vivantes au sein de l’université et dans le système éducatif pendant cinquante ans, tant du point de vue de l’enseignement que de la recherche. On entend par « langues vivantes » une notion faisant référence à un domaine large couvrant aussi bien la linguistique, la didactique, la littérature et la civilisation. Ces langues sont diverses : outre les langues de travail liés aux usages essentiels du pays (arabe, français), il conviendrait d’y inclure une langue nationale comme le tamazight (ou berbère) et les langues étrangères dont les enseignements sont assurés au sein des facultés de langues (anglais, espagnol, allemand, russe, d’italien, …). Enfin, par bilan critique il s’agira de montrer aussi bien les avancées que les reculs suivant chaque langue ciblée ou la tendance générale telle qu’elle est prise en considération par le chercheur. -

In recent years, studies into experiences of health care have led historians to engage with the issue of the medical complaint. As expressions of dissatisfaction, disquiet and failings in service provision, the complaint is both a vital antidote to progressive histories of health care and, in generating contemporary investigation and debate, has also left a fertile seam for historical research. Often it is only when things go wrong that we begin to understand thecomplexity at work in past events. This two-day international conference will explore what has happened historically when medicine generated complaints. -

Expertise and juvenile violence, 19th-21st century

Dans la construction historique du problème social que constitue la violence juvénile, que celle-ci soit exercée ou subie, le rôle de l’expertise est primordial. La violence, phénomène intime et social, étroitement associé avec l’état de jeunesse, oscille entre l’objectivité de ses manifestations et la subjectivité de sa perception. Elle se mesure à l’aune de son énoncé dans la sphère publique. L’expert, agissant au cœur ou à la lisière du système institutionnel de protection de la jeunesse, peut être celui qui recueille cette expression et celui qui la met en forme. Ainsi, l’expérience de la violence chez les jeunes est médiatisée par les formes de discours savants que produisent les experts.
