Reconnue d’utilité publique (FRUP), elle porte la volonté de la Croix-Rouge française de promouvoir la connaissance scientifique, la réflexion éthique et l’innovation sociale pour faire avancer l’action au service des plus vulnérables. La Fondation a pour objectif de mobiliser la communauté scientifique à proximité des populations en souffrance, au Nord comme au Sud, pour apporter des réponses concrètes et durables. Dans cette optique, elle finance et accompagne des chercheurs francophones indépendants, en priorité issus des terrains d’intervention, par l’attribution de bourses postdoctorales en sciences humaines et sociales.

The course France & the European Union investigates the political economy of European integration from the end of the Second World War to present day with a particular focus on the role played by France in this development. It considers the incentives that have led an ever-larger group of European nations to form multilateral agreements around a growing range of policies that now incorporate such diverse spheres as defense, economics, and human rights. It then turns to the challenges Europe faces in maintaining the European Union (EU) in the face of growing skepticism among national electorates as well as attempts to undermine the EU (by Russia) or withdraw support from it (by the U.K. and the U.S.).

Princeton University is pleased to announce the call for applications to the Fung Global Fellows Program at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS). Each year the program selects six scholars from around the world to be in residence at Princeton for an academic year and to engage in research and discussion around a common theme. During the academic year 2016/17, the theme for the Fung Global Fellows Program will be “International Society: Institutions and Actors in Global Governance.” The growth of international organizations and transnational actors has brought about the emergence of a dense international society above the nation-state. Under what circumstances do new international organizations or transnational associations emerge, and when do they expand in their membership and jurisdiction? Does international society function as a constraint on states? How do states and societal actors navigate the complex and overlapping jurisdictions of international organizations? In what ways do international organizations and associations function as distinct cultures or as bureaucracies with their own interests?

Dans le cadre du projet International Grievance Mechanisms and International Law & Governance(IGMs), financé par le Conseil européen pour la recherche (ERC) dans le cadre du 7ème Programme-cadre de l’Union européenne (ERC Grant Agreement n°312514), le CNRS recrute un(e) post-doctorant(e) pour une durée de 12 mois renouvelable une fois (soit 24 mois au total), à compter du 1er février 2014. Le(a) post-doctorant(e) doit être titulaire d’un doctorat depuis moins de deux ans. Le profil disciplinaire est ouvert aux champs de recherche suivants : anthropologie juridique, sociologie juridique, sciences politiques, relations internationales. La recherche consistera à compléter l’approche de droit international du projet par une étude empirique des rationalités à l’œuvre dans la création et l’utilisation des mécanismes de plainte internationaux qui font l’objet du projet IGMs.

Cirad is a French research centre working with developing countries to tackle international agricultural and development issue. Cirad proposes a three years grant for a PhD thesis, in political sciences, based in Montpellier France. The thesis will be part of a global pluridisciplinary research project on emerging animal diseases (including virologists, epidemiologists, vets and social scientists. The thesis will address the question of the evolution of the international governance in this field. / Le CIRAD propose une bourse de 3 ans pour une thèse en sociologie politique, sciences politiques, basée à Montpellier, France. Cet travail de thèse s'inscrit dans un projet pluridisciplinaire sur les maladies émergentes animales (réunissant des virologues, épidémiologistes, vétérinaires, sociologues et politistes). La thèse portera sur l'analyse de la gouvernance internationale des émergences zoosanitaires.
