  AFIELD mentorship program (2019)

  For the first time AFIELD launches an open call to support 3 individuals engaged in social and artistic experimentation. They will be granted seed funding to develop their initiatives and advice from a mentor chosen with them within the AFIELD network, for a period of 18 months. Initiated in 2014 by Council and supported by Tsadik Foundation, AFIELD is a network, a fellowship and an advocacy program for social initiatives from arts and culture. Each year the program supports artists, researchers or activists committed to a long-term social initiative by identifying 2 fellows and 3 mentees.

  Call for young researchers for the Masters 2 (2012-2013)

  Pour la quatrième année, le Rize, équipement culturel de la ville de Villeurbanne, souhaite accueillir, à partir de la rentrée universitaire 2012, trois étudiants de M2 en sciences humaines et sociales, dans le cadre d’un stage indemnisé de 4 à 6 mois. Ils mèneront leur recherche sur un sujet susceptible de rencontrer les centres d’intérêt du Rize, voire, si possible, d’être valorisé au sein de sa programmation culturelle. Ils disposeront bien évidemment d’une parfaite liberté dans le choix de leur problématique et son traitement. Le Rize mettra un bureau équipé à leur disposition et les assistera dans leur recherche de sources sur le territoire villeurbannais. Il leur fournira en outre un support éditorial pour une éventuelle publication de leurs recherches.

  Fieldwork Grant in South Africa or the Democratic Republic of Congo (2011)

  Dans le cadre du programme XenAfPol (The Politics of Xenophobic Exclusion in Africa: Mobilisations, Local Orders and Violence), financé par l’Agence nationale de la recherche (appel Les Suds II), coordonné par Laurent Fourchard (Centre d’études d’Afrique noire de Bordeaux), et en partenariat avec l’African Centre for Migration & Society et l’IFAS-Recherche, une bourse de terrain de 2000 euros est offerte par l’IFAS-Recherche pour un candidat de master.
