  "Kaamelott" and the (re)reading of history

  Ce colloque se propose d'interroger les représentations historiques qui sous-tendent la série télé Kaamelott, écrite et réalisée par Alexandre Astier (2005-2010). En réécrivant la légende arthurienne, la série fait le double choix de se situer dans une période historique rarement représentée – à la charnière entre Antiquité tardive et haut Moyen Âge – et de jouer avec la « matière de Bretagne » des romans arthuriens. On peut dès lors déconstruire avec profit les imaginaires historiques de la série, pour comprendre comment le Moyen Âge est compris et réinventé dans des cercles non-universitaires.

  Mass media and the Genocide of the Armenians

  One Hundred Years of Uncertain Representation

  On the eve of the commemoration of the centenary of the Armenian genocide, it would be desirable to consider the place and role of the mass media (press, radio, TV, Internet) in the knowledge and recognition of the crime committed against the Armenian civilian population of the Ottoman Empire.
