  Five research assistant positions for the project "Decoding Antisemitsm"

  For a 3-year research project on anti-semitic hate speech and hate images on the internet, research assistants are wanted. A qual­it­at­ive lin­guistic con­tent ana­lysis of social media com­ments and analysis of image mater­ial and text-image rela­tion­ships related to anti­semitic con­tent is planned. In addi­tion, quant­it­at­ive lin­guistic meth­ods will also be applied to the social media cor­pus. For the coun­try teams we are seek­ing two doc­toral stu­dents for the Eng­lish lan­guage area, two for the French lan­guage area and one for the Ger­man lan­guage area.

  The construction of reality in the post-truth age

  We invite papers for the 25th issue of the intersdiciplinary academic journal Interstudia, based at the Faculty of Letters, Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacau, Romania. The proposed topic for this issue is "The construction of reality in the post-truth age". We will accept articles written in English, French, Italian and Spanish whose main points of interest will be related to ideas deriving from these following themes for reflection: the role of language in the construction of post-truth, the manipulation of emotion in the media, ethics and post-truth, the role of humanities in the preservation of human values, truth versus opinion in the post-truth society, the relation among data, information and knowledge, ICT and post-truth, the role of numerical devices in the propagation of post-truth attitudes. These are only suggested topics, and should not be considered exhaustive. authors should be free in choosing their topic of research within the frame offered by the general title.

  Discours public et civique, perspectives culturelles et communicationnelles

  Ce numéro de Essachess examine les perspectives rhétoriques et/ou culturelles critiques sur la paix, la non-violence et le rôle du discours civique dans la société contemporaine. Il vise à couvrir le savoir scientifique qui se concentre principalement sur les 30 dernières années, y compris la période historique d’après 1989, qui a créé une démocratisation du discours à travers le monde, encore plus engagé dans la paix et les conflits dans les perspectives paradigmatiques sur la migration, le terrorisme, le communisme et le changement politique et social.
