Nebulx apt get fict -404 () project is about the ways in which lives, human and non-humanalike, are entangled with contemporary technologies, and tries to(re)define care consequently. We offer to create a digital journal developing experimental writing modes in order to explore narrative, descriptive and speculative possibilities about contemporary technologies. We encourage the fictionalization of non-fictional materials and/or fieldwork materials (archives, interviews, testimonies, field notes, diaries).

Heritages values of 20th century architecture: what recognition?
Critical review and international forward-looking vision
The heritage values of 20th century architecture, whether they be cultural, social or technical, remain relatively complex to assess, and thus to share, due to lack of perspective and knowledge. The architectural and urban production of the second half of the 20th century was particularly prolific, sometimes remarkable, even exceptional. The energy, ecological transition, the changing habits and lifestyles are leading to the gradual transformation of this built heritage reaching to the end of its life cycle. Since the 1990-2000’s, a movement for heritage making has developed, which leads to many questions relating to possible and desirable developments of these architectural achievements. This issue of In Situ seeks to take a European or international critical perspective on the architecture of the 20th century and to highlight doctrines and positions adopted, practices and examples of schemes, policies or projects.

Mental maps": between memory transcription and symbolic projection
TRANSCRIPT
The notion of "mental maps" will therefore be considered according to two different meanings and uses: 1) the internal representation of a space travelled through (cognitive map) and 2) the representation of a set of entities or concepts (mind map). The terms "memory transcription" can be understood as the translation and recording on a graphic support of elements present in the mind. The terms of "symbolic projection" are conceived as the fact of externalizing by the means of signs or symbols on a graphic support, the two types of representation: the representation of a traversed space or the representation of a set of entities or concepts. The points of contact, crossover, reversal, between what could be called "representation of space" and "space of representation" are little explored. How can we better apprehend the complex notion of "mental map"? The question of memory transcription? Of the "symbolic projection"? Can we identify meeting points between these two polarities and if possible a continuum?

Cette journée d'étude a pour but de réunir des chercheurs et des praticiens du parfum s’interrogeant sur la matérialité du parfum. Elle proposera une approche pluridisciplinaire du rôle du parfum et de ses utilisation, de l’histoire du parfumeur et de son métier et du rôle du designer et des nouveaux matériaux utilisés, à travers les interventions de spécialistes d’horizons divers : historiens, philosophes, anthropologues, parfumeurs et designers. L’approche pluridisciplinaire apportera des visions multiples et nuancées des contours du design olfactif.

Comment ce type d’image personnelle et, dans certains cas, intime peut-il être marqué (dans ses thèmes ou mises en scène) par des contextes de colonisation, d’occupation, par des rapports de classe, d’âge, de handicap, de race, de genre, par des logiques de classement sécuritaire ou nosographique ou par tout lien de subordination ou de stigmatisation ?

The digital humanities: new narratives in art history?
Depuis une dizaine d’années, l’histoire de l’art a peu à peu (mais encore difficilement) adopté les humanités numériques. Or celles-ci sont un défi à la discipline qu’elles risquent de profondément renouveler : à la fois dans l’étude des objets traditionnels de l’histoire de l’art (qu’il s’agisse d’images ou de textes), dans la constitution des métadonnées, dans l’exploitation des données et dans les différentes formes de visualisation ou la médiation de celles-ci, notamment avec l’ouverture des données et des contenus culturels (open data). Ce numéro de la revue Histoire de l’art souhaite questionner les changements opérés par les humanités numériques, et voir s’il peut aller jusqu’à observer une révolution épistémologique.

Moving heaven and earth. LiDAR's contribution to archaeology
Stakes, methods and case studies in the Grand Est and peripheral regions
Dans l’Est de la France, la cartographie LiDAR a été utilisée à de nombreuses reprises. La dernière en date, a été réalisée sur un massif forestier du versant lorrain du massif vosgien, entre Remiremont et Epinal, dans le cadre du projet de recherche AGER (Archéologie et Géoarchéologie du premier Remiremont et de ses abords). Elle visait, en s'adossant aux méthodes archéogéographiques, à mesurer l’impact qu’eut l’abbaye de Remiremont, fondée au VIIe siècle, sur la gestion du sol et l’évolution du paysage, dans un environnement de moyenne montagne, sans rien négliger des aménagements humains antérieurs et postérieurs à cette période. Au terme de trois années de recherche, une restitution publique fera le point sur l’état d’avancement du projet dans le cadre des manifestations scientifiques et culturelles organisées pour la célébration du 1400e anniversaire de la fondation de Remiremont. Ce colloque, sera également l’occasion d’un bilan sur l’apport du LiDAR dans la recherche archéologique du Grand Est et de ses régions et pays limitrophes - enjeux, méthodologie, études de cas - en privilégiant, par souci de comparaison, des interventions de chercheurs travaillant dans des secteurs au relief contrasté.

ddh20 : Data and Digital Humanities 2020
The digital humanities offer a particularly rich research field of studies for data processing, apart from those of the hard sciences and the social sciences. Indeed, the humanities are rarely subject to privacy principles (privacy by design, GDPR…) that affect most social science works and are not just about digital or binary data. Moreover, in DH the data pre-exist and are most often already known if they are not collected and formalized. In this specific context, we propose in this track to question the practices resulting from the constitution of corpus and uses of data in humanities.

Cataloguing medieval images : from documentary language to scientific research
Dans le cadre des activités liées au projet régional ANIMONS, la photothèque du Centre d'études supérieures de civilisation médiévale (CESCM) organise deux journées d’études sur l’indexation des images médiévales. Les présentes journées d’études visent à s’interroger sur notre pratique actuelle de l’indexation des images médiévales, ainsi qu’à ses enjeux et ses possibles évolutions. Les questionnements porteront notamment sur les thesaurus et lexiques, qui sont l’une des principales composantes de ces bases de données iconographiques. Les questionnements porteront aussi sur la place des outils numériques dans un processus encore tributaire de l’intervention humaine.

Les pratiques du dessin d'architecture, qui semblent pour les unes tournées vers le passé, et pour les autres vers l’avenir, ont en commun d’illustrer la faculté de l’architecte à interpréter le réel. Le dessin, considéré ici dans la diversité de ses pratiques et de ses fonctions, constitue un objet d’étude polyvalent, invitant par là à déployer des approches complémentaires, et à recourir à diverses disciplines, au croisement des sciences humaines et des techniques. En quoi l’étude des représentations de l'architecture nous éclaire aujourd’hui sur son histoire, et sur les pratiques actuelles du métier ? À l’heure des grands bouleversements climatiques et environnementaux, quel(s) nouveaux rôle(s) le dessin est-il appelé à jouer dans la pratique de l’architecture ? Comment le chercheur dessine-t-il pour étudier l’architecture ?

Fair Heritage: Digital Methods, Scholarly Editing and Tools for Cultural and Natural Heritage
The purpose of the conference is to bring together multiple research communities and stakeholders working with Open Science and FAIR principles in the context of heritage studies. As advocated by the European Commission, FAIR principles play a decisive role to define guidelines and valuable tools for managing data in robust ways. We are particularly interested in research questions addressing both methodological and application challenges emerging from data management practices (e.g., data modeling, sharing, integration, analysis, etc.). The conference will provide guidance and ensure the sustainability and implementation of the FAIR model in the context of the European Open Science Cloud. For this purpose to be achieved, the conference will host practical sessions where participants can familiarize with existing methods and tools, and can present their own applications.

Les subjectivités autres qu'humaines en arts et sciences humaines et sociales
Ce colloque international transdisciplinaire a pour objectif de réfléchir sur les modalités de présence des existants autres qu'humains (animaux, végétaux, esprits, défunts, êtres de fiction, robots, etc.), tels que tout un champ de recherche en sciences humaines et sociales, de même que dans la pratique artistique, cherche aujourd'hui à les instaurer. Il s’agit, tout en reconnaissant leur autonomie, d’observer leur statut au sein des différentes cosmologies, la manière dont la rationalité dite moderne s'hybride au contact des autres ontologies, mais surtout de s’interroger sur la possibilité de concevoir, sur un plan épistémologique, une subjectivité propre à ces formes d’altérité, tout en restituant, sur un plan expérientiel, leur possible mode d’existence.

For the IVth ISA (International Sociological Association) Forum that will take place in Porto Alegre, Brazil, we organize two sessions with the Research Committee Historical Sociology. We would like to welcome contributors from a wide variety of research fields in order to discuss issues related to social, cultural and collective memory. One of the sessions will focus on migrations and diasporic experiences, in particular on family memories. The second session is about intergenerational transmission in families in contexts of mass violence, slavery or war.

The world history of cinematographical news during the second half of the 20th century
Cette journée d’études a pour objet de faire un bilan sur l’histoire des actualités cinématographiques dans le monde durant la seconde moitié du XXe siècle. Elle est associée au projet ANR ANTRACT consacré à l’analyse transdisciplinaire des journaux de la société de presse filmée Les Actualités Françaises (1945-1969). Tribune des recherches sur les actualités envisagées dans leur contexte de production, cette journée d’étude ouverte aux spécialistes internationaux de la presse filmée entend également accueillir les historiens travaillant sur les usages contemporains de ce type d’archives ainsi que les professionnels qui les exploitent aujourd’hui. Réunis pour la première fois dans le cadre de cette manifestation, ils participeront à un dialogue sur les enjeux historiographiques associés à la migration des actualités cinématographiques dans le flux des programmes audiovisuels actuels.
