S’inscrivant dans le prolongement de l’étude pionnière d’Hélène Jaccomard, « Lire le sida : témoignages au féminin » (2004), le projet post-doctoral a pour but la constitution d’un corpus actualisé et étendu d’œuvres écrites par des femmes et la mise en lumière de méthodes d’analyse novatrices qui devraient permettre d’apporter des éléments de réponses aux questions suivantes, parmi d’autres : Ces textes littéraires constituent-ils une contribution à la médecine ? Se cantonnent-ils à la sphère intime ou présentent-ils une préoccupation davantage sociopolitique ? Permettent-ils d’entrevoir une poétique du SIDA ?

Le / la post-doctorant(e) devra avancer sa recherche tout en concourant à l'organisation des manifestations du projet EDHML (Écrire l'histoire depuis les marges : le cas des Africains Américains et le devenir de l'histoire), soit 2 colloques, 1 séminaire et 3 journées d'étude. Le/la doctorant(e) sera basé au laboratoire CRIDAF/ Pléiade, Université Paris 13, Villetaneuse. Il (ou elle) travaillera en coordination avec les laboratoires CREW (Paris 3 Sorbonne nouvelle) et Paris Diderot (LARCA). Le projet porte sur l'écriture de l'histoire par les historiens noirs et les récits d'esclaves (pour l'essentiel).
