  Not Just Holidays in the Sun

  Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) Summer School 2020

  The Keep It Simple, Make It Fast! (KISMIF) Conference 2020 will be preceded by a Summer School entitled ‘Not Just Holidays in the Sun’ on 7 July 2020 in Rivoli Municipal Theatre of Porto. The Summer School will offer an opportunity for all interested persons, including those participating in the Conference, to attend workshops directed by specialists in their fields. Our KISMIF Summer School program invites students who are interested in, or currently using, DIY cultures in their research to join us for an exciting and innovative one-day summer school program. The goal of the one-day program will be to encourage discussion and experimentation in the documentation of DIY cultures as much as it will be to encourage a new generation of DIY academics (Punk Ethnographers!) to experiment with digital cinema and performance in their research practices.

  Summer School - History

  An Environmental History of the Great War

  We intend to bring together an international group of 20 to 30 graduate students working on military, cultural, social, and environmental history of the First World War from 2nd to 7th July 2018. Over the course of the week, they will have opportunity to get to know each other, but also a wide range of internationally recognized academic experts. Guided tours on excursions to French and Belgian sites are an integral part of the program and will enrich the participants' experience.

  Cette école d'été est organisée pour que chacun puisse discuter de son travail de thèse, se familiariser avec de nouvelles approches et élargir sa perspective. Cette semaine de travail et d'échanges sera l'occasion de comparer et de discuter de positionnements, d'approches et de résultats de recherche, d'explorer des croisements interdisciplinaires, d'expérimenter des méthodes d'analyse innovantes. Au travers d'ateliers, de mises en situation, de discussions avec des conférenciers invités, il s’agit d’une occasion de faire des avancées marquantes dans sa propre démarche.

  Digital Montreal 2014: Time and space

  History, heritage and digital summer school - Quebec University

  Le département d’histoire de l’UQAM, avec la collaboration de l’équipe de recherche Montréal, plaque tournante des échanges : histoire, patrimoine, devenir et en partenariat avec Bibliothèque et archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ), offrira à l’été 2014 un cours intensif consacré à l’exploration des relations entre l’histoire et le numérique, avec Montréal comme laboratoire de recherche. Cette première édition de Montréal numérique approfondit la thématique « Temps et espace ».
