« Sans famille » en Europe centrale : Réinventer l'orphelin de l'ère fasciste à l'ère socialiste
Contrat doctoral international H/F 2020-2023
Ce contrat doctoral international de 36 mois à temps plein à Sorbonne Université (école doctorale IV), dans l'UMR Eur'ORBEM, en partenariat avec le Centre français de recherche en sciences sociales (CEFRES) à Prague, se déroulera à partir du 1er octobre 2020, sous la direction de Clara Royer. La thèse peut être rédigée en français ou en anglais. La thèse sera consacrée aux discours et pratiques relatifs aux orphelins dans la littérature et/ou les arts visuels (cinéma, photographie, arts plastiques, etc.) dans le sillage des violences et des bouleversements démographiques qui ont marqué l'Europe centrale au XXe siècle. Interdisciplinaire, la thèse est ouverte à des candidats en histoire sociale, en études littéraires et/ou en arts visuels spécialisés dans un ou plusieurs pays de la région.

Depuis 2008, La Cinémathèque française développe ses liens avec le monde de la recherche en histoire du cinéma. Le programme de son appel à chercheurs annuel a pour but d’offrir un accueil privilégié, assorti de divers avantages, à des chercheurs intéressés par des travaux sur ses collections, en vue de thèses ou de mastères. Le partenariat entre le chercheur et la Cinémathèque française donne lieu à un contrat de recherche stipulant les droits et obligations du chercheur. Parmi les chercheurs dont les projets seront retenus, trois pourront bénéficier d’une bourse.

Ce poste à temps plein a pour objectif de mener à bien une thèse de doctorat qui s’inscrira dans le cadre du projet de recherche « La Fabrique du patrimoine littéraire. Les collections d’essais biographiques illustrés en France (1944-2014) », financé par le FWO (Fonds de la recherche scientifique, Flandre : http://www.fwo.be/). Le / la candidat(e) aura à réaliser une thèse de doctorat portant sur les « Albums de la Pléiade » (Gallimard). La recherche visera à étudier les spécificités des « Albums de la Pléiade » dans le système des collections de ce type en en faisant l’histoire et en proposant une analyse de la façon particulière dont ces biographies illustrées sont conçues, sur les plans générique et iconographique en particulier.

This two-year postdoctoral fellowship focuses on the history of American art and visual culture. The selected fellow teaches four semester-long courses to undergraduate and master’s-level students at a French university, participates in local seminars at the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art and at the hosting university, and organizes academic programs on related research topics. -

Projects may include translations of texts on American art; publications written by non-U.S. scholars or those with a significant number of non-U.S. contributors; and publications with a focused thesis exploring American art in an international context. Projects must be under contract for publication. -

Terra Foundation Research Travel Grants to the United States (2013)
For doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars
Six to nine grants are awarded annually to doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars outside the United States to travel to the United States for research on pre-1980 American art and visual culture. Doctoral students receive up to $6,000; postdoctoral scholars (those who received their degree within ten years of the application deadline) receive up to $9,000. Destinations and duration of travel are determined by fellows. -

Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal lance son appel de commissaire invité pour la douzième édition de sa biennale internationale de photographie contemporaine qui se tiendra en septembre 2011. Date limite des candidatures : 17 AOÛT 2009. Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal produit un événement culturel international, arrimé sur les enjeux contemporains reliés à la photographie. L’événement vise à promouvoir les diverses tendances de la photographie contemporaine auprès d'un large public en concrétisant des échanges internationaux entre lesartistes, le public et les professionnels. Depuis 2003, pour chacune des éditions de sa biennale, Le Mois de la Photo à Montréal confie l’élaboration d’une nouvelle thématique à un commissaire invité qui regroupe toutes les expositions, le colloque et la publication autour d’un concept unique.
