  Summer Institute in Computational Social Sciences (SICSS)

  Du 23 juin au 2 juillet prochain, l’École nationale de la statistique et de l'administration économique accueillera une école d’été en sciences sociales computationnelles. Déclinaison française du Summer Institute in Computational Social Sciences (SICSS) initié en 2017 à Duke et à Princeton University, SICSS-Paris rassemblera 20 à 25 jeunes chercheuses et chercheurs en sciences sociales (économie, droit, géographie, histoire, science politique, sociologie…) intéressé·e·s à développer leurs compétences et leurs collaborations dans le domaine des méthodes computationnelles.

  Les inscriptions à l'ANF Quali-SHS sont ouvertes (jusqu'au 30 avril) ! La formation, qui portera sur l'analyse « qualitative », se tiendra du 6 au 11 octobre 2019 (à Oléron). Elle sera focalisée sur trois questions : comment traiter, dans une même analyse, de matériaux diversifiés (entretiens, archives, notes d'observation, données du web, traces GPS, etc.) ? Comment intégrer du matériau provenant d'autres membres d'une même équipe, voire d'enquêtes précédentes ? Comment rendre compte de ses analyses, et dans quel cadre institutionnel et juridique ?

  This edition is stamped by the 40 years anniversary of Cresson research team

  The objective of this winter school is to propose, over a week, a program both theoretical & practical on listening, research and design of the sound environment. In 2019, CRESSON, research team of “Ambiances, Architectures, Urbanities” laboratory, will celebrate its forty years of existence. This is the opportunity, to return to the elements that founded this team and which, today, continue to feed researches on sound ambiances.

  Summer School - History

  An Environmental History of the Great War

  We intend to bring together an international group of 20 to 30 graduate students working on military, cultural, social, and environmental history of the First World War from 2nd to 7th July 2018. Over the course of the week, they will have opportunity to get to know each other, but also a wide range of internationally recognized academic experts. Guided tours on excursions to French and Belgian sites are an integral part of the program and will enrich the participants' experience.

  KISMIF Conference 2018 will be preceded by a Summer School entitled ‘What difference do DIY cultures make?’ (KISMIF Summer School 2018) on 3 July 2018 in Faculty of Arts and Humanities of University of Porto. The summer school will offer an opportunity for all interested persons, including those participating in the conference, to attend workshops led by specialists in these fields. Specifically, the Summer School offers thematic workshops expressly focused on the hands-on, music making, and place making of contemporary DIY cultures. Its approach will be methodological and focused on research for action.

  Modélisation multi-agents appliquée aux phénomènes spatialisés (MAPS)

  Ecole thématique CNRS : formation avancée

  Le collectif MAPS vise à promouvoir les sciences de la complexité au sein de la communauté SHS. En juin 2015, le réseau MAPS organise, à La Colle-Sur-Loup (06), avec le soutien de l’INSHS, une école thématique CNRS sous la forme d'une session d’une semaine de formation avancée en modélisation et simulation aux doctorants et chercheurs qui souhaitent approfondir leurs compétences dans le domaine de la modélisation et de la simulation spatialisée à base d'agents. Cette semaine de formation sera construite autour de séances de cours abordant les méthodes et les outils de modélisation et de simulation, ainsi que de séances de travail en groupes-projets portant sur le développement de modèles thématiques. Certaines soirées seront aussi consacrées à des conférences permettant d'illustrer de manière concrète des projets de modélisation et de simulation spatialisée.

  The visual at the crossroads of urban approaches

  First LABEX Futurs urbains summer school

  Cartes, graphiques, tableaux, imagerie satellitaire, photographies, vidéo… le visuel est au cœur des approches scientifiques en jeu dans les questions urbaines. A la fois objet de recherche, outil d’enquête et mode de restitution, les exploitations visuelles correspondent à des usages très institués et souvent peu interrogés. Elles posent aux chercheurs des problèmes de différentes natures (pratiques, épistémologiques, rhétoriques) pour lesquels les échanges de savoir-faire issus de pratiques scientifiques apparemment éloignées peuvent apporter beaucoup.
