  Entre incitation et auto-persuasion. L’élaboration des comportements citoyens

  Comment nous faire adopter des comportements qui ne sont pas dans notre intérêt immédiat ? Le but de ce colloque est d'explorer la manière dont s’élabore et fonctionne ce processus au niveau politique durant toute l’époque contemporaine. À cet effet, on distinguera trois catégories qui interviennent dans le phénomène d'(auto-)persuasion : l'idéologie et/ou la religion ; le sentiment de responsabilité collective et personnelle, induit par l'histoire, le devoir humanitaire ou l'écologie; les émotions. Cette manifestation scientifique se veut pluridisciplinaire. On entend ainsi réunir des historiens, politologues, sociologues, philosophes et spécialistes du droit international humanitaire. Les langues utilisées seront le français et l'anglais.

  Doing Politics/Acting Politically

  An International Workshop on The Political Dimension of Situated Practices

  In recent years, abstract entities such as the State, the Citizen and Power inherited from political philosophy have been reassessed empirically, notably under the influence of pragmatist considerations in social science approaches of the political order. This important development has led to a much more concrete understanding of modern democracies, now seen as a contingent process rather than the direct outcome of institutional structures. The workshop will contribute to this development through presentation and discussion of related research projects. These projects have in common an observational approach to the situated practices through which political phenomena emerge in the first place.
