  Appel à contribution pour le colloque « Les communautés fermées entre innovation et fortification urbaines » organisé conjointement par Fondation Braillard Architectes, Genève, l'Institut de géographie de l'université de Lausanne et la chaire « Urbanisme et gouvernance » de l'Institut des sciences de l’environnement de l'université de Genève.   Panel of the 10th SIEF congress Lisbon 2011 - People Make Places - ways of feeling the world

  This is a call for papers for a Panel inclued in the SIEF Congress 2011 in Lisbon. Globalization and mobility have remodeled the relations between sound and space through emotionalization and instrumentalization. The panel aims to highlight the new connections between sound and space, taking into account the dynamics of detaching and repositioning sound and place today.

  10th Conference of the International Institute for Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis (IIEMCA)

  The next conference of the International Institute for Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis (IIEMCA) will be held at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), July 10-14, 2011.The aim of the conference is to promote the study of practical action and social interaction and to provide an international forum for researchers working within the domains of Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis. This call for papers invites abstracts addressing issues at the intersection of social action, language use and interaction within the framework of Ethnomethodology, Conversation Analysis and/or connected approaches (e.g., Interactional Linguistics). Abstracts should be submitted in English.

  Se représenter autrement ? Les médias des minorités ethniques, entre hégémonie et résistances

  Ce colloque international s’intéresse aux personnes qui font l’expérience de la déterritorialisation / reterritorialisation et qui développent ou maintiennent des relations sociales à l’intérieur mais aussi au-delà des cadres stato-nationaux, par le biais des médias des minorités ethniques. L’un des objectifs est de comprendre le rôle croissant de la communication médiatique dans la définition des significations, des usages et des appropriations des espaces culturel, social et religieux. Quel rôle jouent les médias des minorités ethniques en imaginant et en mobilisant de nouvelles communautés d’appartenance, ou en les transformant dans le contexte de la mondialisation et de la diversité culturelle ?

  10th International Congress of the Société internationale d'ethnologie et de flokore

  The ways in which people construct their views, opinions, values and practices are constantly being re-negotiated and re-interpreted in various creative forms. The 10th SIEF International Congress intends to elucidate and develop perspectives on this topic by focusing on the making of places, and invites colleagues and other scholars to present new perspectives on how people's lives, memories, emotions and values interact with places and localities.

  Culture nationale et mondialisation : articulations et interactions

  Colloque EGOS 2010 sur la mondialisation, session 14

  Dans le contexte de la mondialisation, nombre de pratiques d’outils de gestions et plus largement, d’idées, sont perçus comme globalisés. Dans cette perspective, il revient au « local » de s’approprier ces outils et pratiques avec la possibilité de les « glocaliser ». De fait le local apparait un peu comme un chainon manquant dans les relations entre le « global et le local ». Le thème 14 du colloque EGOS 2010 considère les interactions entre le global et le local en plaçant le local au centre de l’analyse. Nous sollicitons des communications portant sur des études contextualisées de situations permettant d’expliciter ces interrelations entre le local et le global. Les travaux ethnographiques sont particulièrement bienvenus.
