  Call for paper for the third issue of Boundaries-International architecture magazine

  Boundaries-international architecture magazine- introduces the second call for papers for the third issue of the review (January - March 2012) on « Architectures of Peace ». We encourage authors to explore any aspect of this topic, on which we wish to open a wide interdisciplinary debate.   Ambiances en acte(s)

  The second International Congress on Ambiances is an international gathering for researchers, artists and players engaged in analyzing the ambiance-related dimensions of the built environment and in the sensory construction of the contemporary world. Many approaches are at work in the field of architectural and urban ambiance, and these multiple contributions nurture its rich diversity. The Congress aims to give voice to this activity, feeding on work exploring new forms of exchange between what is designed and what is experienced, between the measured and the qualified, the projected and the tested, the material and the immaterial. The Congress will be held for four days at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), in Montreal, from 19 to 22 September 2012. It will seek to express advances in learning and new hypotheses proposed by the various disciplines and fields of activity which address the question of ambiances.

  Nature, créativité et production au temps de l'Art nouveau

  Dans le cadre des actions du projet « Art nouveau & écologie », le Réseau Art nouveauNetwork organise une série de cinq Laboratoires historiques avec le soutien du programme Culture 2007-2013 de la Commission européenne. Le troisième de ces laboratoires se déroule à Milan, et explore le thème de la « Nature, créativité et production au temps de l'Art nouveau », et se déroulera le samedi 19 novembre 2011 au Palazzo Lombardia à Milan. Cette journée d'étude accessible à tous combine recherches, expériences et savoir-faire à destination des professionnels comme des amateurs d'Art nouveau.

  Traduire l'architecture

  Appel à contributions pour une journée d’étude organisée par le Centre d’histoire des Techniques et de l’Environnement (CDHTE, CNAM) et l’Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA) : traduire l’architecture (XVIIe-XIXe siècle). Cette journée d’étude organisée le 15 décembre 2011 par le CDHTE et l’INHA fait suite à une première journée sur le même thème qui s’est tenue le 13 novembre 2010. Une troisième journée est prévue en septembre 2012. Ce cycle donnera lieu à une publication. Call for Papers: Translating Architecture (XVIIth-XIXth centuries). A conference organised by the Centre for the History of Techniques and the Environment (CDHTE, CNAM) and the National Institute of Art History (INHA). This conference, organised for December 15 2011 by the CDHTE and the INHA, follows an initial conference on the same theme that took place on November 13 2010. A third conference is planned for September 2012. The conference series will lead to a publication.
