Les 28 et 29 novembre prochains se tiendra à Lausanne un colloque consacré à la figure de l'évêque défunt pendant le haut Moyen Âge. Le colloque est le deuxième volet d'un ensemble triparti autour duquel s'articule un troisième cycle romand des lettres consacré à « Identité et mémoire : l’évêque, l’image et la mort ». Interviendront des historiens, des historiens de l'art et des archéologues. -

Exchanges between Italy and France, 15th-17th centuries
Le château royal de Blois organise une grande exposition « festins de la Renaissance » qui aura lieu du 7 juillet au 21 octobre 2012. Elle s'accompagnera d'un colloque international intitulé « Culture de table: échanges entre l’Italie et la France (XVe siècle – mi-XVIIe siècle) » coorganisé avec le Centre d'études supérieures de la Renaissance qui se tiendra au château de Blois les 13-14 septembre 2012. -

Em 1998 a saudosa Professora Carmen M. Radulet organizou, no Instituto Italiano de Cultura de Lisboa, um colóquio internacional sobre as relações lusoitalianas e sobre a presença italiana em Portugal nos séculos XV-XVIII. Os contributos, ao aprofundar aspectos peculiares da actividade económica da comunidade italiana em Lisboa, proporcionaram aspectos inéditos das relações comerciais e culturais luso-italianas. -

The Jewish tombstones of pre-modern Europe are significant for European history, since individual burial, with individual tombstones, only became widespread among Christians in the modern era. The tombstones of Italy’s Jews are particularly valuable, because, whereas in other lands Jewish tombstones typically record the identity of the deceased and the date of death, in Italy they display creative architectural designs and graphic art, accompanied by rhymed and metered poetry. These artifacts invite integrated study of the society, art, poetry and thought of Italy’s Jews in the early modern era. -

L'Istituto Storico italo-germanico (Isig) organizza una Summer School riservata a giovani studiosi/e che frequentano il primo anno del dottorato, per i/le quali mette a disposizione n. 20 posti. Nel 2011 essa sarà dedicata a « Le Dimensioni della storia. Pubblico e Privato: teoria, metodi, storiografia » e si svolgerà a Trento dal 4 all’8 luglio 2011. Il corso si propone di approfondire, tramite lezioni frontali ed attività seminariali, le interazioni tra dimensione privata e pubblica della storia, in un'ottica di lungo periodo (età moderna ed età contemporanea). Saranno presi in esame il dibattito storiografico-metodologico e la dialettica tra società e istituzioni, con un approccio aperto ad una pluralità di punti di vista (storia economica, politica, religiosa, culturale, di genere, del pensiero). http://isig.fbk.eu/it/Summer_School -

The Renaissance of Mineral Springs in Italy and Europe 1200-1600
History, Culture and Ideas/Imagery
From the 14th century thermalism flourished in Italy, Europe and, last but not least, in the German Empire. Because of the elitist patients, who come from afar to visit the baths, ancient springs are revitalized, new ones developed, and extended with a sophisticated infrastructure. Simultaneously to a changed body culture an autonomous balneological discourse emerges for the first time, which feeds on ancient and Arabic sources and on empirical observations made at this time. In addition to the miraculous, the special social conditions one experiences during a stay at a spa far away from home are reflected upon primarily in contemporary literature, but also in painting, in which the ancient tradition plays an important role. Our conference aims at bringing together different disciplinary and national approaches to a topic that is flourishing, but has so far been treated only sporadically. -

« Chemins it@liques » est une nouvelle collection universitaire entièrement consacrée aux études italiennes (littérature, langue, civilisation, arts, éditions de textes et traduction). Cette annonce constitue un appel à projet pour les enseignants et les chercheurs du domaine proposé. Les langues de publication sont le français et l'italien. Le projets doivent me parvenir directement et seront examinés puis le tapuscrit sera évalué par deux experts en lectures aveugles avant édition.
