  Ideological competition in economic discipline

  Economists and economic discourse in Germany and France, 1980-2007

  This "colloque junior" attempts to explore economic expert discourses in their relation to politics and the public in comparative perspective. In view of the most recent economic and financial crisis we intend to bring together young and more advanced scholars in economic history, sociology, and economy to discuss the role of economic knowledge at the interface of sciences and the state. In particular, we are interested in the foundations of its particular scientific and political authority in both countries, and how best it might be described and analysed in a wider transnational context.

  The communication of private archives? The case of noble archives in France and Germany

  L'institut historique allemand organise le 23 mai 2011 un colloque sur les archives nobiliaires en France et en Allemagne. Cette manifestation a pour objectif de présenter le panorama des archives nobiliaires et les moyens mis en œuvre pour les conserver et les mettre en valeur. Cette présentation comparative se propose de montrer la richesse des différents modèles de coopération entre institutions publiques et initiatives privées dans les deux pays, et les possibilités qui en découlent pour la connaissance du patrimoine écrit et la recherche historique.
