"Quem me tocou?" O corpo nas teologias feministas
Colóquio internacional de teologias feministas
No meio da multidão, uma mulher toca em Jesus. No meio da multidão, Jesus sente-se tocado por uma mulher e pergunta quem lhe tocou. O presente colóquio pretende trazer para o centro da discussão um facto: as mulheres têm corpo. E o seu corpo, as suas vidas em corpo, lidas, ao longo da história da Igreja e da teologia, como lugar de tentação, são reivindicadas por mulheres como lugar de encontro com o religioso – as teologias feministas têm, pois, corpo. O colóquio abordará esta realidade a partir de diversas perspetivas: embora centrado na teologia, procurará articular este saber com outros saberes. -

As the aesthetic practices of human thinking, the arts inalienably integrate into (and even when their creators may have striven after neutrality) social and political life, which, in turn, is driven by the dynamism of the powers and the institutions that they serve. We know very well, and throughout human history, how these powers (economic, political, religious) have always drawn deeply, and with great appreciation, on the diverse forms of artistic expression as a fundamental means of their own affirmation. -

Call for papers - Ethnology, anthropology
Anthropology, Culture and Cognition. Freud, a century after Totem and Taboo
Although hardly avoiding intense criticism by anthropologists such as Boas and Malinowski, Freud’s theories did, however, have a profound impact upon anthropology, receiving an enthusiastic reception among Culture and Personality theorists during the middle decades of the 20th century. Leading anthropologists of this trend relied on Freud’s contributions to develop approaches based on the relationship between culture and personality, expanding their views on the importance of culture in personality formation, on the constitution of culture patterns and on the formulation of national character. One hundred years after the publication of Totem and Taboo (1913), this two-day seminar seeks to address the influence of Freud’s legacy in contemporary anthropological thought. It also aims to explore the new interface between the two disciplines, namely through the recent work produced on kinship and on the cognitive approaches to the study of religion. -

Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951), filósofo austríaco, naturalizado britânico, foi um dos principais atores da virada linguística na filosofia do século XX. Suas principais contribuições foram feitas nos campos da lógica, filosofia da linguagem, filosofia da matemática e filosofia da mente. Muitos o consideram o filósofo mais importante do século passado. O Grupo Luso-Brasileiro de Estudos Wittgensteinianos (GRULBEW) organiza um colóquio anual luso-brasileiro sobre Wittgenstein, que este ano terá lugar em Lisboa, dias 9 e 10 de julho. -

The 2012 NECS conference “Time Networks: Screen Media and Memory” will take place in Lisbon. It aims to address this general question, and to tackle the different issues connected with time in relation to our screen-dominated media culture. In this way, the conference will draw upon and add to the rich and scholarly discussion of diverse media practices and their connection with the concepts of memory, history, and the temporalities of everyday life. -

Cooperation and Education: Africa and the World
II COOPEDU is organized by the Centro de Estudos Africanos do Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Center of African Studies, ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon) and by the Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria (School of Higher Education, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria). The overall theme of the congress is Cooperation and education: Africa and the World. The main goal is to extend and deepen the issues addressed in I COOPEDU (4-5 February 2010, ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon), forging continuity in reflections on cooperation in educational issues between African countries and those in other regions and continents. -

Já abriu a submissão online de resumos para o V congresso ibero-americano de pesquisa qualitativa em saúde, subordinado ao lema Circulação de saberes e desafios em saúde, a decorrer de 11 a 13 de outubro de 2012 no Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. Data limite de submissão de resumos e grupos de trabalho: 31 de janeiro de 2012.
