  A Political History of Public Debts (Europe and the United States, since the Late Eighteenth Century)

  This is call for papers for a symposium to be held in Paris in June 2013. Its main theme is a political history of public debts since the end of the eighteenth century. Organized as a workshop, this symposium aims to explore the public debt as the locus for political debates and conflicts. Our goal is to bring together various case studies, using different approaches, but all analyzing aspects of the link between politics (especially in its social or participative dimensions) and the indebtedness of states. This should help shed new light on such central concepts for our understanding of the modern political world as sovereignty, citizenship, democracy, and solidarity.

  The transformations of the professionalisations of social work

  Dans une perspective comparative dans l'espace francophone, ce colloque entend analyser en quoi les pratiques de formation en travail social sont « impactées » et comment elles se positionnent face aux transformations des professionnalisations du travail social. Au plan international, il y a un certain nombre de défis communs : la multiplication des référentiels, l’injonction de performance publique, la réduction de l’autonomie des professionnels, la mise à distance de la question de l’éthique, la « protocolisation » du travail social, la réduction des formes du travail ensemble, la place croissante des experts, etc. Comment les dispositifs de formation se saisissent-ils de ces questions en termes de pratiques de formation ? Un regard critique sera porté sur l’apparition et la généralisation des référentiels de compétences, entre technicisation et perte d’autonomie des professionnels, le cadre prescriptif et l’activité réelle de l’intervention sociale. Comment se croisent la pensée réflexive entre praticiens du social et espaces de formation, les parcours de professionnalisation et la constitution des savoirs d'expérience ?
