  The project Ptolemaeus Arabus et Latinus (PAL) is dedicated to the edition and study of the Arabic and Latin versions of Ptolemy’s astronomical and astrological texts and related material. These include works by Ptolemy or attributed to him, commentaries thereupon and other works that are of immediate relevance to understanding Ptolemy’s heritage in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern period up to 1700 A.D.

  Cosmo-political democracy: research and debates (2013)

  La souveraineté, les risques et les droits ne peuvent dorénavant plus être pensés dans le seul cadre de l’État-Nation. Les sphères du commun se sont en effet dilatées à l’échelle du monde et diversifiées. Mais suffit-il pour autant de viser à transposer à une échelle globale les formes classiques de la démocratie ? Le séminaire explorera les termes du problème et les éléments de réponse qui peuvent être suggérés. En s’attachant notamment à tirer les enseignements de la construction européenne comme « universel réduit ».
