  Parler d’une seule voix

  Le discours collectif dans la littérature et les arts au Moyen Âge

  L'objet de ce colloque sera de déceler les procédés d’écriture ou de représentation mis en oeuvre pour rapporter la parole collective, de dégager ses spécificités, ses éventuelles marques stylistiques. D’un point de vue formel, comment parle le groupe ? Y a t-il une différence stylistique entre sa parole et celle d’un personnage ? Une mise en scène de registre ? Le discours rapporté l’est-il directement ou indirectement ? Voit-on se dessiner des divergences ou bien des points de contact entre les procédés des différents arts ? Comment un groupe parlant est-il dessiné ou sculpté ? Comment se constitue le groupe, en musique, dans les arts visuels, mais aussi en littérature ?

  PAC 2013: Spoken English Corpora

  From annotation to interphonologies

  The PAC Project “La Phonologie de l’Anglais Contemporain : usages, variétés et structure ; The Phonology of Contemporary English: usage, varieties and structure” is coordinated by Anne Przewozny, Philip Carr and Jacques Durand. Among other things it aims at: giving a better picture of spoken English in its unity and diversity (geographical, social and stylistic); testing phonological and phonetic models from a synchronic and diachronic point of view, making room for the systematic study of variation; favouring communication between specialists in speech and in phonological theory; providing data and analyses which will help improve the teaching of English as a foreign language.

  Study of Spoken French

  29th issue of the journal Travaux interdisciplinaires sur la parole et le langage (TIPA)

  The 29th issue of the TIPA journal (Travaux Interdisciplinaires sur la parole et le langage) is presently being prepared, and will be exclusively published as an electronic version on the electronic platform Revues.org. The general topic chosen for this issue is the study of spoken French. The scientific orientation of the TIPA journal will remain fully interdisciplinary. This will allow us to welcome contributions building on the theme of spoken French from a variety of different fields (syntax, phonetics, discourse analysis...) and perspectives (corpus-based approaches, theoretical linguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, automatic language processing, sociolinguistics, language teaching...). The language of publication will be either English or French. Each article will be introduced by a detailed two page-long abstract in the other language, which will make papers in French more accessible to English-speaking readers, and vice versa, thus insuring a larger audience for everyone.

  Cercle linguistique d’Aix-en-Provence (CLAIX) n°25 works

  Selon le Dictionnaire de linguistique de Jean Dubois et al., « Le cas est une catégorie grammaticale associée au syntagme nominal, dont il traduit la fonction syntaxique dans la phrase ». Certes la définition entière couvre deux pages, mais cette première phrase contient l’essentiel : la catégorie du cas se situe au confluent de la morphologie et de la syntaxe – d’ailleurs, on parle généralement de morphosyntaxe à propos des langues à morphologie « lourde », comme les langues slaves, par exemple. La production de sens étant la principale légitimité de la forme, le cas est devenu dans certaines approches (Fillmore) une catégorie sémantique.
