  National identities in soldiers' accounts post-WW1

  Au cours de la première guerre mondiale, chaque armée fait coexister en son sein des soldats de langues et de cultures parfois très différentes, toutefois appelés à mêler leur sang pour le même souverain ou le même régime politique. La fin de la guerre signifie à la fois le changement de nationalité de dizaines de millions d’entre eux, et pour d’autres la consolidation de leur identité régionale, dont le rapport à l’État est à interroger. C’est à tous ces « soldats d’entre-deux » et à leur mémoire de la guerre que nous nous intéressons. La journée d'études du 4 décembre 2013 est le second volet du projet « Soldats d'entre-deux » débuté en octobre 2012.

  Call for papers - Modern

  Painting and document : David Diao

  Call for Abstracts for the first international colloquium about the New York painter David Diao. Born in 1943, Diao is a major artist of the conceptual painting field. His work is about the history of modern art, architecture and design but also about the complex interactions between autobiography, history, art market… This colloquium will take place in Museum of modern and contemporary art, Strasbourg. Organized by two laboratories of University of Strasbourg and National School of Archiecture of Strasbourg. The colloquium is part of a series of projects with David Diao in Strasbourg for 2014 : artist residence, edition of a work, collective book, colloquium.
