Call for papers - Urban studies
Ramau conferences – 2014
Following the study days dedicated to “architectural and town planning professions faced with the involvement of residents and users” in 2012 and “sustainable town planning and architecture know-how and models” in 2013, the aim of the Ramau 2014 conferences is to concentrate on the relations between sustainability and “management” in the field of urban development and architecture. The incorporation of sustainable development in architectural, urban and landscaping operations seems to have the effect of increasing the concern for management logic in the project process.

Les journées du Gerpisa constituent un cycle de rencontres mensuelles structurées autour du programme international du réseau Gerpisa (Groupe d'étude et de recherche permanent sur l'industrie et les salariés de l'automobile). Le cycle en cours (2013-2014) s’inscrit dans le sixième programme international de recherche du Gerpisa (2012-2015), « Structuration des nouvelles industries automobiles, restructurations des industries automobiles traditionnelles et nouvelle géopolitique mondiale de l’automobile », dirigé par Bernard Jullien, Directeur du GERPISA et Tommaso Pardi, chargé de recherche à l’ENS Cachan.

The 1rst World War dramatically affected societies and territories, as well as personal lives and all forms of culture, in Europe and elsewhere in the world. The 1914-1918 conflict had in all respects a foundational nature. On the occasion of the 1rst World War commemorations, and in connection with the exhibition, "Summer of '14: The Last Days of the Old World", which will be held at the French National Library from March 25 to August 3, the French Committee of Cartography organizes a conference specifically dedicated to the role of cartography in the war, according to three main issues : the role of maps during the preparation of the war, the use of maps on the theatre of military operations, the importance of the map in a civil society during the war.

Revue Belgeo
This special issue of Belgeo is dedicated to the relations between art and space (publication planned for autumn 2014). We suggest three main directions for articles: the first one aims to collect epistemological reflections concerning the development of a geography of art(s), to understand its specificities and contributions. The other two consider artistic spatialities with two complementary approaches, related to the localisation and the spatial dynamics of individuals and artistic phenomena. This call for papers is aimed at researchers of different fields interested in the spatial dimensions of artistic phenomena.

La revue Projets de paysage se propose de publier dans son numéro de juin 2014 un dossier thématique explorant les relations que la question du paysage entretient avec celle de l’énergie en général et de la transition énergétique en particulier. L’objectif central de ce dossier est de montrer dans quelle mesure et comment la recherche scientifique peut aider à la fois à mieux appréhender et à (re)penser la place et le rôle du paysage dans les actions et politiques aujourd’hui conduites dans le domaine énergétique.

Moreover, events such the Arab Spring have brought back the idea of Mediterranean as a wide and complex meeting place where cultures, faiths, different political and social experiences meet, and sometimes clash, developing opportunities of dialogue and integration.

Recherches & Éducation journal
La revue Recherches & Éducations lance un appel à textes pour un numéro spécial qui sera publié en octobre 2014 sur les gestes professionnels et les expériences corporelles. Ce numéro dénote un intérêt marqué pour l’analyse des activités professionnelles en général et des expériences en sport en particulier. Il propose différents terrains d'exploration : l’EPS scolaire, l’éducation sensorielle, le sport, la formation professionnelle. L’objectif de ce numéro spécial est de présenter différentes perspectives théoriques s’intéressant aux gestes professionnels et à l’expérience corporelle en STAPS : e.g., les approches représentationnelles, phénoménologiques, anthropologiques, didactiques, etc., de l’action et de la connaissance. L’enjeu est de comprendre comment ces approches prennent en compte, ou pas, les dimensions strictement linguistiques, les composantes prosodiques, gestuelles, corporelles, spatiales et matérielles des processus d’interaction.

La première guerre mondiale au cinéma
Réalité, fiction et imaginaire
La première guerre mondiale a été source d'inspiration cinématographique générant une production riche et régulière qui se perpétue jusque nos jours. On pensera à Renoir (Bourdos, 2013) où elle est présente en arrière-plan où 14-18 est au second plan ou à Chaval de guerre (Spielberg, 2012) où elle est au premier plan. Cette guerre qui bouleverse les mentalités au début du XXe siècle est accompagnée par un cinématographe naissant : fiction et réalité vont ainsi s'entremêler et donner jour à différents types de films.

Les fondateurs de l’Europe ont fait rêver les peuples à une richesse culturelle commune. Aujourd’hui, quand l’Europe rencontre de plus en plus de difficultés, a-t-elle cessé de faire rêver ? L’opinion générale aurait tendance à l’affirmer. Mais si la question est « De quoi rêvent les Européens aujourd’hui ? », les réponses paraissent aussitôt moins évidentes et les sentiers de la recherche porteurs d’hypothèses nouvelles. -
