Thirty second international Jean Rouch festival
En plus de trente ans d’existence, le Festival international Jean Rouch est devenu un lieu unique de rencontres entre le monde du cinéma et celui des sciences sociales, ce qui en fait un événement culturel incontournable. Cinéastes, scientifiques et publics de tous les horizons se rassembleront pour partager et débattre autour de documentaires exceptionnelles, où la diversité reste une fois encore le mot d'ordre de l’événement. Ce rassenblement est organisée par le Comité du film ethnographique avec le CNRS Images et le Muséum national d’histoire naturelle.

Cette thématique recouvre les questions du racisme, de l'eugénisme, de la diversité ethnique et de l'altérité.

Dès l'appel du 18 juin 1940, le général de Gaulle perçoit les dimensions mondiales d'une guerre qui « n'est pas limitée au territoire malheureux » d'un pays et « n'est pas tranchée par la bataille de France ». Cette vision est fondatrice. Il en résulte pour la France libre une organisation immédiatement planétaire. Mais son effet se mesure également sur une plus longue échelle. Ce caractère mondial de la France libre sera étudié et débattu à l'occasion du colloque international organisé par la Fondation de la France libre au musée de l'armée. Il rassemble, sur deux jours, les contributions de vingt-huit chercheurs internationaux organisées en quatre sessions thématiques.

Adaptation of maritime and port actors to the vagaries of globalisation
Le transport maritime est l'épine dorsale du commerce international et un élément moteur de la mondialisation. Les modes et réseaux maritimes sont de plus en plus complexes. La croissance du transport maritime soulève d'importantes questions sur l'évolution du rôle de nœuds dans le transport mondial et de la chaîne de valeur, telles que la mondialisation, le commerce et le développement, la durabilité environnementale. Les changements structurels dans le commerce international et l'évolution du transport maritime ont une incidence directe sur les ports et leurs alentours. L'objectif de cette conférence est de comparer les différentes approches disciplinaires aux questions suivantes : l’adaptation des acteurs de l’économie maritime, portuaire et logistique aux aléas de la mondialisation ; analyser un certain nombre de modèles d’organisation portuaire.

The organizers invite the submission of any proposal for setting out the contribution of media (traditional and new media) to the political construction of community, ethnic and national identities in one of these four areas. Papers, which can be comparative or not, focusing on a particular geographical area or not can give a theoretical or empirical answer to the question: “media: actors or instruments in the construction of community, ethnic and national identities?”

Reading English-language Arts and Literature with the Later Lacan
Lacanian analysis of literature and the arts has not been in vogue in France for some time now. Following the publication of Écrits in 1966, there was a period of analytic fascination with the imaginary capture of the mirror phase and its intersection with the structures of the symbolic in both literary and film studies. Since the 1980s, academic engagement with Lacanian theory in the cultural field has been in a slump, and this for several reasons: the reputed difficulty of Lacan’s style as apprehended through Ecrits, the opposition of numerous feminist critics, and the general decline of theory in the field of literary studies. Today, in light of the growing force of scientistic conceptions of the human subject (at the level of intelligence, behaviour, reproduction, the limits of the body, mortality), Lacanian theory finds renewed relevance in its unwavering postulate of the subject as singular, unique and incalculable, insusceptible to scientific conclusiveness.

Spaces of German colonial experience: exchanges, transfers and circulations (1850-1950)
En s’ouvrant aux démarches de l’histoire globale et transnationale, la recherche historique sur l’expansionnisme allemand a connu, au début des années 2000, un profond renouvellement : après avoir été longtemps marqué par une spécialisation géographique étroite et un certain eurocentrisme, ce champ historiographique se caractérise désormais par des tentatives de plus en plus nombreuses visant à restituer, dans un cadre spatial élargi, le jeu complexe des interrelations entre les différentes scènes de l’impérialisme allemand. Profitant de l’impulsion donnée par une série d‘études pionnières, l’atelier que nous proposons invite doctorants et post-doctorants à présenter leurs propres travaux sur ces thématiques.

Globalisation and Minor Cultural Groups
The role of so-called minority people in rethinking the future of modern societies
Minority groups, whose way of life has historically suffered from globalization, are often cited as victims of global processes, but they are rarely studied for the techniques or technologies of accommodation and resistance they have implemented as a response to global processes— the most devastating of these processes being colonization in its various aspects. Indeed, globalist literature does not yet offer a conceptualization or theorizing of the social, cultural, political and territorial continuity of “minorized” cultures, let alone does it afford enough analytical space to these so-called cultural minorities in the process of questioning the values and practices of globalization. Therefore, this conference will participate in building more connections between different experiences in order to think up the best alternatives to the global economic and political system in place and to the way of life brought about by global phenomena which do not work anymore. -

La Revue d’étude en agriculture et environnement profite de son récent classement dans la liste des revues AERES pour le domaine sociologie-démographie pour lancer un nouvel appel à contribution varia. Les articles porteront sur l’ensemble des thèmes de la revue et pourront aborder par exemple la production agricole et agro-alimentaire, le monde de la distribution alimentaire, la population agricole, l’alimentation domestique, les consommations alimentaires à l’extérieur, les mondes agricoles, le monde rural, les relations humains / animaux, espaces et territoires, etc.
