IVe conférence annuelle des étudiant.e.s aux cycles supérieurs en droit

Inspiré par l'appel de Boaventura de Sousa Santos pour « une sociologie des absences et une sociologie des émergences », l'objectif de cette conférence consiste à rassembler des étudiants et étudiantes aux cycles supérieurs en droit dont les travaux traitent d’alternatives aux théories et aux pratiques productrices d’exclusions sociales. Tous les projets qui examinent des alternatives favorisant une plus grande inclusion sociale des groupes ou des individus sont donc les bienvenus. Cela pourrait inclure, par exemple, les théories et approches méthodologiques qui favorisent la convivialité ; la convivialité dans le partage et l’occupation de l'espace (le rapport au territoire, l'environnement, etc.) ; la convivialité entre les visions du monde et la convivialité dansles pratiques sociales et démocratiques (la propriété intellectuelle, la culture, le folklore,les droits démocratiques, etc.) ; enfin, la convivialité à l'égard de l'orientation sexuelle, dela religion, du statut économique, de l’origine ethnique, etc.

1st International Symposium: Hope, Betrayal and Trust

This trans-disciplinary research project is interested in exploring the complex and fluid relationships between hope and trust, and how might betrayal play a productive role in this bond. As concepts, ideas or simple notions, hope and trust seem to have simultaneously lost contemporary currency while being ever more necessary in our every day lives. We seem resigned to a kind of hopelessness, seem unwilling to trust others and are ready and willing to betray whomever we might need to in order to advance our own careers or personal agendas. Yet new technologies require us to place personal information online, to communicate with strangers, and to hold onto the promise of happiness. How are our maintenance of hope, our need to trust and our willingness to betray intertwined? How are these concepts evolving?

L’Association canadienne des sociologues et des anthropologues de langue française (ACSALF) organise son colloque général sur le thème des mobilités. Ce colloque sera réalisé en collaboration avec l’Association internationale des sociologues de langue française (AISLF). L’invitation s’adresse aux sociologues et anthropologues et à ceux et celles qui partagent leurs perspectives d’enquête et d’analyse. Notre ambition est d’offrir une compréhension plus affinée des phénomènes qui transforment et façonnent les mondes contemporains, tout en explorant de nouvelles avenues en termes de conceptualisation et d’analyse.
