  Conference presentation of the 140th national conference of historical and scientific societies

  Le thème retenu pour le 140^e congrès national des sociétés historiques et scientifiques « Réseaux et Société », est à la fois un hommage à notre institution, le comité des travaux historiques et scientifiques soucieux de regrouper un savoir en réseaux, et une plongée dans les recherches les plus novatrices que viennent conforter les techniques modernes d’Internet. Les rencontres de Reims devront donc s’attacher à identifier les réseaux qui constituent les infrastructures des sociétés et à cerner leur évolution. L’importance de la conjonction de coordination « et », qui unit réseaux et société dans le titre du congrès de 2015, doit être soulignée. Elle oblige à nous interroger sur le lien entre nos pratiques et le tout abstrait qui nous unit, et finalement sur nos manières de vivre ensemble.

  International Summer School

  Urban Transitions to Sustainability International Summer School (Rheims University, France, 22-26 June 2014) is organized jointly by IRCS (International Research Center on Sustainability) and SENSE (Netherlands Research School for Socio-Economic and Natural Sciences of the Environment). This course is specifically designed for doctoral students, post-docs and young scholars who wish to further explore urban sustainability, discuss cutting-edge research with peers and established scholars alike and develop specific skills such as presenting their own research, developing abstracts and discussing the research of other scholars in the make.
