  Access to Material and Immaterial Goods

  The Relationship Between Intellectual Property and Its Physical Embodiments

  This conference aims to look at the relationship between intellectual property and its physical materialisations, with a particular focus on the issue of access and the challenges of new technologies. Speakers will be allocated 20 minutes to present within a panel of three speakers, followed by a 30 minute discussion. Submissions from those in non-legal disciplines and from those in practice are very welcome. We strongly encourage submissions from doctorate students and postdoctoral researchers.

  New technologies for cultural heritage : Perspectives and challenges

  Le musée du quai Branly en partenariat avec l’Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) et l’UMR 8167 « Orient et Méditerranée », organise deux journées de colloque sur le thème des nouvelles technologies d’analyse et d’imagerie appliquées aux collections ethnographiques et archéologiques, aux sites, aux documents : modification des approches, modes d’intervention sur les matériaux , archivage numérique et mise à disposition muséographique du patrimoine, diffusion vers des publics élargis, statut même de l’objet (ou de l’artefact) dont la compréhension matérielle s’élargit désormais bien au-delà des moyens d’observation traditionnels. Il s’agira d’établir un état des lieux des perspectives offertes par l’émergence de ces nouvelles technologies (orientations de recherche, développement de nouveaux outils, réflexion autour de la perception et la compréhension des objets et des images) dans les domaines du patrimoine (conservation, muséographie, restauration), de la recherche et de l’enseignement mais de s’interroger aussi sur les questions d’ordre anthropologique, déontologique et juridique soulevées par le développement de nouvelles pratiques.

  Historical Network Research

  This conference follows up the Future of Historical Network Research (HNR) Conference 2013 and aims to bring together scholars from all historical disciplines, sociologists, other social scientists, geographers and computer scientists to discuss the emerging field of historical Social Network Analysis. The concepts and methods of social network analysis in historical research are no longer merely used as metaphors but are increasingly applied in practice. With the increasing availability of both structured and unstructured digital data, we should be able to analyze complex phenomena. Historical SNA can help us to cope with the organization of this information and the reduction of complexity.

For each of these full-time contracts, the postdoctoral researcher is expected to develop during part of his/her working time (1/3 max) a personal research project related to the themes of the labex Pasts in the Present.

  Dans le cadre du colloque final du programme de recherche Sciencepeine (projet n° ANR-09-SSOC-029), cet appel à contribution entend traiter les questions suivantes : le champ de l’exécution des peines est soumis depuis quelques années en France à de profondes modifications : juridictionnalisation de l’application des peines, renouvellement des agents et du parc immobilier pénitentiaire, évolution de la population carcérale, multiplication des alternatives à la détention, essor de la prise en charge médico-psychologique des détenus et développement d’un programme criminologique sont quelques-uns des traits de cette mutation.
