  The I3SAW Board and the University of Sciences and Technology Mohamed Boudiaf (Oran) are pleased to announce the 1st International Congress of the International Society of Sport Sciences in the Arab World « I3SAW ». The general theme of the congress is “Sport in the Arab World in the 21st Century: Global perspectives and local challenges”. The I3SAW Congress will be held at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, Oran, ALGERIA. We invite all researchers, students to join this international congress, where research, knowledge, and ideas can be efficiently presented and shared. The Congress provides a platform to present your research ideas. We connect academics, researchers and professionals from the Arab World and the rest of the World.

  L'Institut des sciences du sport de l'universté de Lausanne (ISSUL) met au concours un poste de doctorant ou doctorante FNS pour la réalisation d'une thèse de doctorat en sciences du sport, orientation histoire, éventuellement dans le cadre d’une cotutelle internationale. Cette thèse sera réalisée dans le cadre du programme de recherche « Une histoire sociale et culturelle comparée du rôle des mouvements de jeunesse et des sports dans les décolonisations du Rwanda, de l’Afrique Occidentale française et de l’Ouganda (1930-1970) ».

  Understanding self and others: new touristic, domestic, international practices and touristic promotion of the heritage in East Africa

  This symposium will gather researchers and professional actors of the tourism with different events (symposium, exposition, public conference, field day) around the theme of the new practices and forms of touristic and patrimonial promotion in East Africa. The touristic studies are fast growing in the main universities in East Africa with the emergence of new forms of tourism. Those countries are in their national construction and decentralization phase that vivify feeling of national belonging with territorial, regional or even ethnic resilience. Therefore the developing tourism of the natural and cultural heritage becomes a serious challenge for national and regional public policies.

  Na sequência de eventos sobre o desporto em África, em 2010 na UFRJ e em 2012 no ISCTE-IUL, o Centro de Estudos Internacionais (ISCTE-IUL) acolherá a realização de 28 a 30 de Outubro de 2014 o III Encontro Internacional do Desporto e Lazer em África subordinado ao tema desporto e lazer em África: entre os vínculos do passado e as dinâmicas do presente.
