  Religious fanaticism from the 16th century to the present day

  When religion escapes reason

  Dans une formule synthétique, l’article « Superstition » de l’encyclopédie dirigée par Diderot et d’Alembert indique une urgence à méditer et une recherche à engager : « La superstition mise en action constitue proprement le fanatisme. » Notre colloque, éclairé par cette affirmation, tentera de rendre compte des définitions possibles du fanatisme religieux du XVI^e siècle à nos jours. On se demandera comment ce fanatisme surgit en dehors mais aussi dans les religions ; comment, à l’insu de ces dernières, les convictions peuvent parfois dériver vers le fanatisme. Car le fanatique ne se sait pas fanatique ; résister au fanatisme a pour effet de lui donner les apparats de la légitimité, ce qui conforte le fanatique dans ses propres positions.

  Anguish and hypothetical risk

  Ce colloque a pour objet de restituer les travaux menés dans le cadre du projet de recherche intitulé « L'angoisse face aux risques hypothétiques » et bénéficiant d'une subvention de la MSHB (Maison des sciences de l'homme en Bretagne). Ce projet a consisté à analyser l'évolution possible de la responsabilité civile face à une situation d'incertitude scientifique et en particulier face aux technologies émergentes. Il est parti du constat de la réparation, indépendamment d'un préjudice corporel, d'un préjudice d'angoisse dans le contentieux des antennes relais de téléphonie mobile. Le projet de recherche, à dominante juridique, est interdisciplinaire : les regards de juristes, de droit privé comme de droit public, de psychologues, et de politistes se sont croisés.

  First International Conference on the Science and Practice of Sports Refereeing

  The aim of this conference is to provide researchers studying sport refereeing with a discussion space in order to increase and improve the scientific network in this area. This network is then expected to answer new queries and to meet the practical challenges of sport refereeing. The scope of this conference includes a broad range of work which contributes to a greater understanding of refereeing performance and/or provides some directions for the development of this area. This conference will take place the 22-24 September 2014 in Clermont-Ferrand (France).

  The IV International Congress Sport, Doping and Society is organized by the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and the Spanish Agency for Health Protection in Sport (AEPSAD). Under the theme “Looking to the future”, it will be presented the results of scientific researches and new methodologies in the field of doping in sport.From the specific perspective of Social and Human Sciences, we believe that this initiative will contribute to identify the factors that influence the use of doping substances and methods. From this knowledge we hope to foster future prevention and doping control and to promote ethical behavior in sport.
