  Feminist, queer, and poscolonial subjectivities in contemporary art

  History in motion

  Since their explosion at the end of the 1960s, the historical feminist struggles have irrigated both artistic practices and theories through fertile circulations. The conference will consider the artwork through the lens of the relationships between artistic and intellectual experiences, between language and representations, and between text and image, from the 1980s until today, thus examining the resonances and circulations between the most challenging feminist, queer, and postcolonial theories, writings, and artistic practices at a global scale.

  Itinéraires et productions des dramaturges et cinéastes espagnoles (1990-2014)

  Ce colloque se propose, dans le cadre de l'histoire culturelle, d'interroger la situation des femmes créatrices espagnoles depuis les années 1990 et de faire un bilan quant à la production des dramaturges et des réalisatrices. L'un de ses objectifs sera de permettre une première approche comparative des difficultés auxquelles se heurtent réalisatrices et dramaturges et de confronter leurs créations dans une perspective esthétique. On interrogera, en outre, la construction de nouvelles identités féminines et masculines dans leurs oeuvres.

  Fashion, Dress and Society in Europe during World War I

  This conference on the cultural history of fashion and the fashion industry during World War One, will be held on December 12-13, 2014 during the official French Centennial Commemorations. To study how fashion played an integral role in re-shaping European society during World War I, this conference intends to assemble an international community of scholars and curators who have an interest in exploring gender, dress, fashion producers, consumers, workers, and the press between 1914 and 1918. The deadline to submit a Paper Proposal is February 15th, 2014
