  By the book. The book and the study of its digital transformation

  This two-day conference brings together scholars from the field of publishing studies to examine key issues around the digital transformation of the book, as well as to discuss the developing field of publishing studies. Analysed will be a key set of questions. How is the landscape of the book in Europe changing due to digital transformation? How will terrestrial bookshops survive the growth of ebooks? Are there international forces for change which will affect all markets, and what domestic factors will prevail? What is the connection between the spread of English as the global lingua franca and the growth of digital publishing?

  Youth literature in the play of material and media cultures: circulation, adaptation, change

  Paradoxalement, la recherche consacrée à la littérature pour la jeunesse, en quête de légitimité institutionnelle, a encore peu étudié la relation des œuvres littéraires aux autres productions de la culture médiatique et de la culture matérielle de l’enfance. Pourtant, c’est sans doute dans ce domaine que les échanges ont été les plus intenses et les plus fructueux. L’ambition de ce colloque est de questionner la place de la littérature pour la jeunesse dans les imaginaires médiatiques et les productions industrielles pour la jeunesse, en tentant de mettre en évidence les logiques d’adaptations, de traductions intersémiotiques, de synergies et de rapports de force qui sont engagés dans ces pratiques.
