  Stratégies d'infrastructure verte et d'éclairage : solutions écologiques pour les villes et les territoires

  The International SD-Med 2015 (Sustaible development in Mediterranean) Meeting is part of the UNESCO Conferences in the framework of the International Year of Light 2015. It will be entitled: Green infrastructure and lighting strategies : Nature-based solutions for cities and territories. The meeting has been placed under the aegis of the UNESCO and the Greek Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism.

  Captives, recruited, migrants: Empires and labor mobilization

  From XVIIth century to present days

  This workshop starts from the hypothesis that warfare and labor are strongly connected in Empire building and their evolution, to begin with war captives in early modern Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas and to continue with the various forms of recruitment in land and maritime empires in all those areas. Captives as well as local peasants were soldiers, seamen, and colonists at the same time. Forms of forced recruitment were still important in the XIX^th century (the press system in Britain and its variations in the Empire, recruitments in Russia) and continued in the XX^th century, in Europe during the wars, outside of Europe during and after colonization and decolonization up through nowadays children soldiers.

  Poderes, identidades y resistencias en las artes visuales chilenas del siglo XIX al siglo XXI

  El coloquio que organizamos en diciembre de 2015 es la continuación dos coloquios celebrados en 2011 y 2013 ya que propone poner en perspectiva la historia contemporánea y las artes visuales chilenas entre el periodo de la independencia del país y el tiempo presente. Este coloquio pretende una interrogación de los conceptos analizados en los dos coloquios precedente desde el punto de vista de la creación y de las artes visuales chilenas.

  Presque dix ans déjà : le nouveau Canada de Stephen Harper

  Revue Études Canadiennes n°78 (juin 2015)

  This special issue of Etudes Canadiennes/Canadian Studies intends to explore what’s new in Canada, nine years after the coming to power of the Conservatives, four years after Stephen Harper won the election that gave him a majority government, and at a time when Canada is getting ready for the next federal election. While the contributions are expected to focus on the Conservative initiatives to shape this new Canada, they will also be encouraged to compare them with other societal and global factors that may contribute to a changing Canada.
