  The ethos and identities of the Francophone writer

  Initiée et développée progressivement à partir des années 1960 par des chercheurs de disciplines diverses, tels Michel Pêcheux et Michel Foucault, l’analyse du discours (désormais AD) a surtout donné la priorité aux discours politiques et médiatiques. Le discours littéraire, quant à lui, a été travaillé plus tardivement, à partir de 1975, grâce aux études de Jean-Michel Adam, de Ruth Amossy ou de Dominique Maingueneau. Ce colloque vise à mettre à l'honneur l'analyse du discours littéraire (ADL), et plus spécifiquement celle du discours littéraire « francophone ». Il s’agit de convoquer des textes littéraires et de proposer des corpus intéressant à la fois les études littéraires et les sciences du langage.

  Issues and perspectives for the Scottish referendum in the United Kingdom and Europe

  On 18 September 2014, precisely seventeen years after agreeing by a very considerable majority (74.3%) to the British Government’s proposal to set up in Edinburgh a Parliament with legislative powers in areas such as education and health care, Scottish voters said "No" by a majority of 55,3% to the question posed by the Scottish Government, namely “Should Scotland be an independent country?”

  Dans le cadre du LabEx EHNE (Écrire une histoire nouvelle de l’Europe), l’axe 4 « L’Europe, les Européens et le monde », accueille pour une durée de 6 mois fractionnable un chercheur étranger de réputation internationale pour l’associer à ses travaux. Le CRHIA anime l'un des sept axes de recherche du LabEx, et privilégie l'étude des circulations depuis et vers l'Europe dans tous leurs aspects, les transferts qu'elles impliquent et leurs impacts sur l'identité / les identités européennes. La problématique fondamentale du LabEx EHNE est d'offrir à un large public de nouvelles clefs de compréhension de l'histoire de l'Europe notamment par la réalisation d'une encyclopédie numérique.

  Freedoms and Slaveries in the Atlantic World (14th-20th c.)

  STARACO Summer University (STAtus, ‘Race’ and Colour in the Atlantic World from Antiquity to the Present)

  Today, bibliography on the phenomenon of slavery in the Atlantic is incredibly vast.  However, our research group on the definition of hierarchies of colours and of "races" cannot avoid addressing this subject. It is clear that the deportation of millions of African captives towards the Americas constituted the most powerful impetus for the racialisation of slavery, leading to the ‘natural’ representation according to which all slaves are black. This simple equation, however, covers over a complex historical process that this research conference seeks to analyze more closely. We must begin by ‘denaturalizing’ the concept of slavery. The term slavery, in fact, includes situations that are very different in time and space, which the various specialists in our research network will be able to compare.
