  Interroger le changement

  Deux laboratoires - le CERLIS et PHILéPOL - de la faculté de sciences humaines et sociales de l'université Paris Descartes se sont associés pour constituer une journée d'études autour de la question du militantisme. Nous invitons les potentiels intervenants - doctorants et docteurs venant de diverses disciplines des sciences sociales - à questionner l'évolution du militantisme à travers deux axes majeurs : d'une part, interroger la dichotomie droite / gauche au sein du militantisme, d'autre part, discuter de la pluralité des espaces du militantisme dans le contexte récent d'une démocratisation d'internet.

  Political Informality, Power and the Other Side of Urban Space

  Online journal « L'espace politique » n° 29 (2-2016)

  This issue of L’Espace politique aims at understanding the roles and meanings of informal practices in city governance and urban life. How does the diversity of urban power structures emerge and consolidate, in informal and sometimes illegal ways? What influence does it have on the production, administration and control of urban space? This special issue is at the junction of two academic traditions: urban studies and the studies on informality. We encourage contributions based on fieldwork in cities, which will be the basis for comparison between several local case studies.

  Comment penser l’anthropocène ?

  Anthropologues, philosophes et sociologues face au changement climatique.

  En décembre 2015, la 21ème Conférence des parties sur le climat, communément appelée COP21, se tiendra au Bourget, près de Paris. Cette conférence suscite autant de craintes, que d’espoirs : beaucoup considèrent qu’elle représente la dernière chance d’arriver à un accord contraignant sur la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, afin d’éviter une hausse trop importante des températures, qui aurait des effets catastrophiques.

  C’est dans la perspective d’une mobilisation de tous les efforts autour d’une solution positive, que nous appelons à un colloque international, réunissant philosophes, anthropologues et sociologues, qui se tiendra à Paris, au Collège de France, le 5 et 6 novembre 2015.

  The making of cultural policies

  Trans-Acting Matters: Areas and Eras of a (Post-)Ottoman Globalization

  This workshop takes place in the framework of the research project “Trans-Acting Matters: Areas and Eras of a (Post-)Ottoman Globalization”. It aims to analyse the making of cultural policies and actions in Turkey and the post-ottoman spaces. We wish to question the ways in which the circulations participate in the construction of cultural policies today as well as to rethink the earlier cultural policies and actions from the late Ottoman Empire onwards. The workshop attempts to question the co-production of cultural policies, of their spaces and territories, as well as the plurality of the conceptions of culture carried by cultural policies. The workshop will focus on the phenomena of hybridity, of connections, and associations of various actors which co-produce original forms of cultural policies.
