  les Pères de l'Église à l'écoute du peuple

  Sensus fidelium et discours autorisés durant l'Antiquité tardive

  VII^e édition du colloque de patristique et d'histoire ancienne de La Rochelle, le colloque « les Pères de l'Église à l'écoute du peuple » honore une attitude largement interdisciplinaire : il réunit vingt trois spécialistes d'histoire romaine, de littérature grecque et latine, de théologie et de droit canonique autour de l'émergence de la notion de sensus fidelium. Tout au long de l'antiquité tardive, ce sens aiguisé agit au sein des communautés comme un instinct pour repérer l'authenticité de la foi. Comment cette catégorie a-t-elle émergé ? comment les figures d'autorité ecclésiale, les Pères, ont-ils accueilli, consulté, soutenu ou contesté ce flair du peuple ? autant de questions que ce colloque cherchera à approfondir afin de mieux évaluer l'impact de ce sensus fidelium.

  Saints Abroad

  The Hungarian Historical Review

  Hagiography and the material cult of the saints inform today a wide variety of historical research from philology and theology through historical anthropology and cultural history to narratology and art history. Approaches vary from the local and national (dynastic saints, state religion, patron saints of cities and countries) to the universal (saints as healers, helpers and intercessors). We invite papers to this special issue on saints related to Pannonia and Hungary who crossed the frontiers and either “worked abroad”, or their relics, cults, texts and images scattered all over Europe.

  Artémidore et l'interprétation des rêves

  Cinquième journée d'études

  Le seul traité antique d’onirocritique préservé dans sa totalité est celui d’Artémidore de Daldis, auteur grec de la fin du II^e siècle de notre ère. Depuis septembre 2007, le groupe Artémidore en a entrepris une nouvelle édition et traduction annotée. En mars 2009, il a organisé une première journée d’études autour de cette œuvre et de l’interprétation des rêves en général. Celle-ci sera la cinquième.

  From the Caucasus to the Arabian Peninsula: studying domestic spaces in the Neolithic

  Under neolithisation scholars understand multiple processes of social and economic transformation which begin at different times and follow regional trends in the Near and Middle East. It is within the complex relational and spatial framework of the household that these shifts in the structure and activities of Neolithic communities are easiest to apprehend and study. The conference will therefore focus on the domestic sphere in order to highlight and understand the polymorphous nature of what we call neolithisation. Various thematic sessions will be held to shed new light on current data: “Impacts of the shift to a sedentary/semi-sedentary lifestyle”; “Organising the house and the household”; “Private space/public space”; “Acquisition, production, transformation and use”; “Eating-Moving”; “Symbolic manifestations”;“The living and the dead”.
