  Broadening the Horizons of Information Law and Ethics

  The 7th International Conference on Information Law aims at the presentation of papers on a variety of subjects within information law and also, information ethics. The conference will host invited presentations and refereed paper presentations. We are interested in papers on intellectual property, data protection, freedom of information, individual rights and information, privacy, cyberlaw and cyberethics, media law and ethics, digital divide and information technology, e-government, surveillance, intellectual freedom, open access, digital divide and other.

  Savants, artistes, citoyens : tous créateurs ?

  Le CERCRID (UMR 5137) organise, en partenariat avec le centre culturel de Goutelas, un colloque consacré au profond mouvement contemporain de participation des amateurs à la création artistique et à la production des connaissances scientifiques. Ce colloque s'accompagne de la projection d'un court-métrage qui retrace une expérience théâtrale associant des amateurs et des professionnels, ainsi que de la représentation d'une pièce de théâtre consacrée à la création artistique. La première journée sera consacrée à des présentations émanant de spécialistes du droit, des sciences de l'information et de la communication, de neuropsychologie, de l'histoire, de sociologie, de science politique. La demi-journée suivante sera consacrée à une table-ronde rendant compte d'expériences vécues de participation d'amateurs à la création artistique et scientifique.

  Profile, Predict and Prevent

  Data-driven policies, markets and societies

  Algorithms are increasingly used, both by States,market actors and citizens, for the purpose of profiling. Through big data analysis and inference techniques, an attempt is made to better understand, predict and, in certain cases, prevent citizen behaviour. Data analysis techniques are deployed in many sectors of society, from cyber-security and police investigations to judicial decision-making, from product customization and personalisation to marketing strategies and targeted advertising, from self-monitoring to lifestyle improvement. For this conference, we invite researchers, experts and practitioners from different backgrounds to reflect upon the legal, ethical and social implications of data-driven policies, market transactions and quantified-self techniques. We welcome empirical, theoretical and philosophical contributions regarding profiling, prediction and prevention.

  Communication, information et savoir : quel management pour une organisation durable ?

  Si les principes du développement durable cherchaient initialement à orienter les manières de faire dans le domaine de l’environnement, la nécessité d’un développement présent garantissant la capacité des générations futures à satisfaire leurs besoins a rapidement mis en évidence le lien intrinsèque entre les territoires de l’écologique, du social et de l’économique. Puisque le développement durable implique avant tout un changement profond des stratégies dans les différentes aires d’action de ces domaines, il devient impératif d’investiguer les approches organisationnelles informationnelles, communicationnelles et documentaires à l’œuvre ou en proposer de nouvelles qui soient aptes à soutenir les efforts déployés par les structures de tout milieu – institutionnel ou corporatif, afin d’assurer leur développement actuel, sans compromettre leur avenir ou celui des individus ou des collectivités.
