  Faire silence dans le monde anglophone aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles

  Ce colloque a pour objet d’explorer, dans le monde anglophone des XVII^e et XVIII^e siècles, les manifestations du silence, entendu comme renoncement volontaire ou involontaire à la parole, dans différents champs scientifiques : littérature, arts, sciences, histoire religieuse et politique, histoire du livre. On s’efforcera d’étudier cette thématique dans une perspective dialectique pour tenter de comprendre comment s’articulent parole et silence.
