  Comics and sport

  During the final talks of the fruitful international conference named “body languages in comics” set up by the junior drawn sciences laboratory of the Ecole normale supérieure (ENS) in Lyon on 8th and 9th October 2014, the idea to carry on, in a more precise way, the numerous debates on the occasion of a later scientific event was mentioned. In light of this, the C3S laboratory (“culture, sport, health and society”) of the University of Bourgogne/Franche-Comté organises holding an international symposium in order to study how sport is depicted in comics. Researchers in the C3S laboratory dedicate their work to sport sciences with a theoretical and epistemological commitment marked by interdisciplinarity. According to this stance, the international conference is open to various contributions allowing to understand the representations (whether they be historical, sociological, anthropological, literary, semiotic, psychological…etc…) of sport in comics.

  Événement régulier consacré à l’actualité éditoriale des chartistes, les « mardis » se veulent le cadre d’une rencontre et d’un débat entre un auteur et un « discutant », collègue chercheur partageant des centres d'intérêt communs. L’objectif, avec la participation du public, est d’en présenter les thèses, d’en évoquer la genèse et d’en discuter le contenu, afin d’en proposer une lecture originale et dynamique.

  Disqualification socio-spatiale dans les villes françaises et japonaises

  Regards croisés entre l’histoire et la sociologie

  Organisé par deux établissements de recherche, l’École des hautes études en sciences sociales (Paris) et l’université de la Ville d’Osaka (Japon), ce colloque se propose de réfléchir à la disqualification socio-spatiale dans les villes françaises et japonaises. Du point de vue sociologique, historique et sociolinguistique, nous entendons donner l’occasion dans ce colloque de discuter de ce thème à travers la question de la pauvreté, de l’immigration, de la marginalité urbaine, de la banlieue, de l’intégration et du colonialisme, et de comparer les situations au Japon et en France du XIX^e siècle à nos jours.

  Disorder: social history in the punk/post punk movements

  This two-day international conference will gather scholars (historians, sociologists, musicologists...) and actors of the punk and post-punk scenes at the Université Paris Diderot and the University of Chicago Paris Centre, to discuss the meaning of the punk and post-punk movements, with the methods of social sciences. The conferences and workshops will discss networks, local scenes, time and place, urban space, communities, to analyse the ways in which these movements developed inside and against various historical environments, spanning from London in 1975 to China today, through the former Soviet bloc, the USA, Europe form South to North...
