  Flexibility and continuity in hay-meadow management

  La XXI^e parution de Martor, la revue d'anthropologie du musée du Paysan Roumain, se concentrera sur l'histoire sociale du foin. Durant le dernier siècle, les paysages de l’Europe ont changé d’une manière dramatique à cause du développement socio-politique et économique qui a fait décroître les domaines gérés d’une façon traditionnelle, comme les prés semi-naturels, très riches en biodiversité. Les institutions de l’Europe regardent de plus en plus attentivement la dimension patrimoniale des pratiques et des politiques de gestion de la terre. Les politiques bâties autour du concept de paysage déterminent un souci croissant pour la perte de la diversité biologique et plus précisément pour la perte du savoir local et traditionnel concernant la gestion des terres. Nous essayons de recueillir des contributions afin d'avoir une approche pluridisciplinaire sur le sujet.

  Migrations and new local governance

  Migrinter research lab at the University of Poitiers, in cooperation with the Integrim program – Marie Curie Actions, and Mobglob, invite scholars working on international migrations and local governance in the Global North and the Global South to share their on-going research works. This call addresses scholars as well as early-stage researchers and Phd students from all fields (geography, sociology, anthropology, political sciences, demography and more).

  Europe and the Arabian Peninsula (19th-21th centuries)

  This international workshop will deal with the relations between Europe and the Arabian Peninsula in the Modern Era, from the beginnings of globalization until the most recent economic and strategic developments. In order to study both the evolution and the contents of such relations, two main topics will be given a more particular interest: Cultural and Scientific Relations in connection with the change of mutual understanding from the 19^th to the 21^th century; Evolution of Economic relations from the 19^th to the 21^th century.
