  Images and memores - visibility and invisibility of war in Algeria

  Il est courant d’entendre que la guerre d’Algérie a été une « guerre sans nom » ou encore une « guerre invisible ». Ces propos méritent d’être infléchis voire corrigés car dès 1954 les contemporains en Algérie et en France ont photographié, filmé, illustré, nommé la guerre que ce soit dans des documents amateurs ou des images d’actualités filmées ou télévisées ou encore dans des films de fiction.
