  Odilon Redon (1840-1916): Life and afterlife

  The centenary of Odilon Redon’s death (Bordeaux, 1840-Paris, 1916) is registered as a national commemoration and will be celebrated in his birthplace with several events: after the opening of an exhibition of the artist’s landscapes at the Musée des beaux-arts (La nature silencieuse. Paysages d’Odilon Redon, December 2016 to March 2017), Bordeaux will host an international conference organized by the Centre François-Georges Pariset (Université Bordeaux Montaigne), the Musée des beaux-arts de Bordeaux, the University of Geneva and the Association Musée d’art Gustave Fayet à Fontfroide (MAGFF).

  Identification, (de)identification - between traces and fictions

  Comment se  fabrique l’identité des individus, des œuvres, des artéfacts et des personnages de fiction ? En quoi ce processus s’appuie-t-il paradoxalement sur une nécessaire déconstruction identitaire, par occultation intentionnelle ou par perte occasionnelle, d’une partie des caractéristiques de ces mêmes entités ? Les questions liminaires qui sous-tendent le thème de ce colloque interdisciplinaire constituent une prolongation des enjeux sous-jacents au projet ACORSenS sur l’anonymisation de corpus audio-visuels.

  The CW, , television network

  The US network The CW celebrates its ten-year anniversary this year. As the product of a merger between previous networks The WB and UPN, the small network has distinguished itself over its ten-year tenure with policies that are unique in the American television landscape. The diversity and originality of its programming have attracted an audience that is perhaps smaller than those garnered by the larger networks, but which has proven itself fiercely loyal to the channel. This day-long seminar therefore seeks to examine The CW’s fictions, but also, from a more global perspective, the channel itself. A case study of The CW will allow us to analyze these little-studied series but also to blend approaches to better understand this type of fiction.

  Contact, circulation et transfert

  Notre colloque se propose d’accueillir les contributions qui étudieront ou feront découvrir les multiples univers artistiques dans lesquels les initiateurs, artistes arabes ou d’origine arabe, évoluent après avoir effectué un passage en Occident. Comment ces artistes ont-ils abordé dans leurs créations l’altérité occidentale et la leur ? Comment tirent-ils parti de leur mobilité géographique ? À quel point interagissent-ils avec les cultures et les acteurs culturels de leurs terres d’asile ? Quel regard portent-ils sur leur pays d’origine ? Quelle place occupent-ils dans le paysage culturel arabe ? Est-ce qu’ils ont en commun quelques traits ou stratégies artistiques ? Quelle est la portée artistique et politique de leurs créations ?
